The group, made up of Mike Mills, Peter Buck and Michael Stipe, posted a statement on their website earlier today. It read: 'To our Fans and Friends: As R.E.M., and as lifelong friends and co-conspirators, we have decided to call it a day as a band. We walk away with a great sense of gratitude, of finality, and of astonishment at all we have accomplished. It added: 'To anyone who ever felt touched by our music, our deepest thanks for listening.' Each band member also gave their own views on why the band was splitting and singer Michael Stipe said: 'A wise man once said "the skill in attending a party is knowing when it's time to leave." We built something extraordinary together. We did this thing. And now we're going to walk away from it.' The American rock band formed in 1980 as a four-piece band including Bill Berry on the drums. The group achieved critical success for their debut album entitled Murmur, but it was not until 1987 that the group gained mass popularity with the album Document. In 1995 drummer Bill Berry collapsed on stage in Switzerland from a brain aneurysm and while he recovered and later rejoined the band he finally left the group in 1997. Their most popular hits include Everybody Hurts, Losing My Religion and The One I Love. Yeah, yeah, yeah Hey, let me in, let me in I had a mind to try to stop you. Let me in, let me in But I've got tar on my feet and I can't see All the birds look down and laugh at me Clumsy, crawling out of my skin Hey, let me in. Yeah, yeah, yeah Hey, let me in Hey, let me in. Yeah, yeah, yeah Hey, let me in R.E.M. wrote this about Kurt Cobain after he died in 1994. Cobain was a fan of R.E.M., and when he died, Courtney Love gave them one of Kurt's guitars, which they used on this. It was a left-handed Fender (and one of the few guitars Cobain didn't smash), so Mike Mills had to restring it to play it right-handed.(thanks, Derek - Cheney, WA) Kurt Cobain (Rolling Stone, January 27, 1994): "I know we're gonna put out one more record, at least, and I have a pretty good idea what it's going to sound like: pretty ethereal, acoustic, like R.E.M.'s last album (Automatic For The People). If I could write just a couple of songs as good as what they've written... I don't know how that band does what they do. God, they're the greatest. DEATH IN VEGAS - LEATHER

03:31
Death in Vegas are a psychedelic rock and electronic rock band from the United Kingdom, comprising two permanent members: Richard Fearless (né Richard McGuire) and Tim Holmes. Influenced by a wide range of musical genres including psychedelic rock, electronica, krautrock, dub and industrial, the band's sound is constantly changing, moving between live rock sounds, electronica and minimal techno. The band was formed in 1994 by Fearless and Steve Hellier and signed to Concrete Records under the name of "Dead Elvis". Objections from the Elvis Presley estate forced them to change their name, and Dead Elvis became the title of their first album instead. Dead Elvis The first album, Dead Elvis, was a mixture of many musical genres, although most of the tracks are predominantly based in electronica. Many of the band's musical influences can be heard in the tracks, with "GBH" taking inspiration from reggae, "Rekkit" and "Rocco" taking inspiration from techno, and "Rematerialised" showing the band's dub influences. The track "Dirt", perhaps the most misleading track on the album, became tied to the big beat genre that emerged in the mid- to late-1990s (contrary to popular belief, DiV were not a big beat band), and "All that Glitters" is a jazzy, laid back track that almost evokes the trip-hop genre. Shortly after the release of the album, Hellier left the band and was replaced by Tim Holmes, who had already been involved with mixing and engineering tracks on Dead Elvis. The Contino Sessions The band's second album, The Contino Sessions (1999), marked a slight change in direction with more attention to live instrumentation than their first and the inclusion of guest vocalists (including Dot Allison, Bobby Gillespie, Iggy Pop, and Jim Reid). Although predominantly rock-influenced, the album still retained some electronic elements, in particular the opening track "Dirge" with its drum machine-based rhythm track. "Dirge", featuring a haunting vocal chant by Allison, is perhaps one of the band's most recognisable tracks. "Dirge" was featured on a Levi's jeans commercial, as well as the second installment of the Blair Witch Project, and was used in the trailer for the 2006 film The Black Dahlia (film). Although, most recently "Dirge" was used at the end of the updated 2009 version of suspense film: Last House On The Left. Along with "Aisha" (with vocals from Iggy Pop), "Dirge" helped the band gain more recognition, culminating in a Mercury Music Prize nomination in 2000. "Aisha" was a top 10 hit in the UK. Scorpio Rising In September 2002, the band released its third album, Scorpio Rising, after almost a three year gap. During their time off, the band had toured and briefly returned to their techno roots with the track "Scorpio", which, although not appearing on any album, was included as the b-side of "Hands Around My Throat", the first single from Scorpio Rising. Scorpio Rising takes its name from the cult avant-garde film of the same name by Kenneth Anger. Anger's distinctive aesthetic style, rebellious use of pop music, and a theme of gay Nazi bike-riders became an inspirational film for filmmakers, artists and musicians. Fearless was inspired by the film and decided to name the album after it, with the lyrics of the title track (featuring vocals from Liam Gallagher) reflecting the controversial nature of Anger's film. The rest of the album remained a similar affair to The Contino Sessions, with attention to live instrumentation and guest vocalists, and it also continued to attract attention from advertisers and filmmakers with "Hands Around My Throat" being used in a Sony Ericsson advert and appearing on the soundtrack to The Animatrix, while the track "Girls" was used on the soundtrack to the Sofia Coppola film Lost in Translation, as well as in an episode of the TV show Veronica Mars and a commercial for BBC's most recent production of Sense and Sensibility. This was their last studio album for Concrete Records. Concrete released a best-of album, entitled Milk It, in 2004. Satan's Circus Death in Vegas set up their own label, Drone Records (not to be confused with the existing German label of the same name) and released their fourth album, Satan's Circus, in 2004. Satan's Circus is markedly different from the rock-influenced The Contino Sessions and Scorpio Rising. It features a more electronic sound, with drum machines, synthesizers and programmed rhythms largely replacing live bass, guitar and drums. German krautrock was also a significant influence - the melody of Kraftwerk's "Trans-Europe Express" is featured in the track "Zugaga". This led some fans to be disappointed, while others saw this as a return to some of the hypnotic instrumentals included on Dead Elvis. Unlike the previous two albums, Satan's Circus did not feature any guest vocalists. The album was also released as a limited edition double pack including a live CD, recorded on the Scorpio Rising tour at the Brixton Academy, London.

DUB PISTOLS featuring Blade - SPEED OF LIGHT **Fanmade MuSiC vIdEo**

Video i put together with some spacey clips i had... Dub Pistols are a London based dub music and big beat band, founded by ex-club promoter, Barry Ashworth, in 1996. The other members of the band were record producer and bassist Jason O'Bryan, Brooklyn producer and lyricist, T. K. Lawrence on vocals, Jap Slut guitarist John King, and turntablist Steve Hunt. Guest songwriters and vocalists include Blade, James Dewes Sheffield (JMS), Rodney King and Terry Hall. In 2008 Dan Bowskill joined the band. The band debuted in late 1996 with the singles "There's Gonna Be a Riot" and "Best Got Better".[1] By the time of their 1998 debut album Point Blank, big beat appeared to have run its course, however Dub Pistols remained an infectious live draw, startling audiences in the United Kingdom and around the world.[1] The group's second album, Six Million Ways to Live, appeared in 2001 and was followed a year later by the mix album Y4K: Next Level Breaks.[1] To date, they have released three studio albums as well as contributing to numerous film soundtracks, including Blade II, Bad Company, and Mystery Men. They have also released a significant number of remixed tracks from other artists. The most notable of these include a remix of Ian Brown's "Dolphins Were Monkeys", Limp Bizkit's "My Way", The Crystal Method's "Do It", and Moby's "James Bond Theme". Their third album, Speakers and Tweeters was released in 2007 through Sunday Best and features T. K. Lawrence, JMS, Blade, Rodney P and Terry Hall. Their latest album Rum'n'Coke was released in May 2009 to a wide musical acclaim. Various Dub Pistols songs have been featured in video games. The song "Official Chemical", featuring vocals by JMS, Baqi Abdush-Shaheed and T. K. Lawrence was featured in the PlayStation 2 game FreQuency. The same song was also featured in the multi-platform game Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2. Their song "Cyclone", featuring T. K. Lawrence was featured in the multi-platform game Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. The song "Soldiers", featuring Planet Asia was featured in Final Fight: Streetwise. "Running From The Thoughts", featuring T. K. Lawrence and Terry Hall was used in NBA Live 08 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09. The song "Gotta Learn" was featured in EA Sports' FIFA 99. The Crystal Method $ THE AMERICAN WAY $ - feat. Rahzel - *un official music video

04:28
The Crystal Method is an American electronic music duo that was created in Los Angeles, California by Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland in the early 1990s. The Crystal Method's music has appeared in numerous TV shows, films, video games, and advertisements. Their best-selling album, Vegas, was certified platinum in 2007. The Crystal Method is made up of two members, Ken B. Jordan and Scott Heisler Kirkland. Both of them were born in Las Vegas, Nevada.[1] Kirkland was born when his mother was only fifteen. He grew up listening to his mother's music—disco—and his father's music—rock. When he had grown a little older, he began listening to heavy metal, as well as bands like Depeche Mode. Ken Jordan also grew up listening to classic rock and '80s electronica. Early days (1993--1995)By the early '90s, both Ken and Scott had moved to Los Angeles. Before The Crystal Method was formed, Ken and Scott started working on music while working at the grocery store and while Ken was a local DJ in Las Vegas as well as the college radio program director at UNLV. Ken taught Scott how to DJ, and when Ken moved to L.A. to work for a producer, Scott took over his job DJ'ing at the local club. Scott would follow Ken out to L.A., and they formed The Crystal Method in 1993. Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland bought a house together, in Glendale, California, which had a small underground shelter beneath the front lawn. Originally intending to turn the shelter into a studio, it proved to be an unrealistic idea and the duo set up a studio in their house. They named their studio The Bomb Shelter. After The Bomb Shelter was built, a tape of The Crystal Method's music found its way to a British DJ named Justin King. King was interested in starting a record label that would showcase American electronic dance acts. King teamed up with Scottish transplant Stephen Melrose to form the record label City of Angels. The first official release from the City of Angels label was The Crystal Method's "Now is the Time". The Crystal Method were signed to Outpost Recordings in 1996. Legion of Boom (2003--2005)After the release of Community Service, The Crystal Method went back into the studio to record their third album, Legion of Boom. During the recording, they used the house as their recording studio instead of The Bomb Shelter In December 2003, the single "Born Too Slow", with vocals from John Garcia and guitar by Wes Borland was released. Legion of Boom was released on January 13, 2004, and peaked at number 36 on the Billboard 200.It sold over 25,000 copies in its first week. The other single released from Legion of Boom, "Starting Over", featured vocals from Rahzel from The Roots. No other singles were released but other songs, including "Weapons of Mass Distortion", "Bound Too Long" and "Realizer", appeared in various movies and TV shows. "I Know It's You" appeared in the trailer for the film Resident Evil: Extinction, and includes vocals by the movie's star, Milla Jovovich. In 2005, the album was nominated for the Best Electronic/Dance Album Grammy, the first year that category existed. It lost to Kish Kash by Basement Jaxx. It is also around this time that Jordan and Kirkland formed their own record label, called Tiny e Recordings

HENRY ROLLINS - STATE OF ALERT - PUBLIC DEFENDER SOA BAND

Blaϲk Flaց οո іTսneѕ: http://tinyurl.com/3t5ejy3 Music video i made for state of alerts public defender. Original animation taken from BBC Monkeydust History State of Alert were fronted by Henry Garfield, who would later rise to fame as Henry Rollins. They formed in October 1980 and disbanded in July 1981. They released a ten song 7" EP titled No Policy and contributed three songs to the compilation Flex Your Head, both on Dischord Records. The EP was financed by Henry since Dischord wanted to afford releasing the first Minor Threat 7" as well. S.O.A. played a total of 12 gigs in and around the eastern US, their first on December 6, 1980, in Washington, D.C., and their last on July 10, 1981, in Philadelphia. Henry Rollins later described their performances: "All of them were eleven to fourteen minutes in duration because the songs were all like forty seconds... and the rest of the time we were going, 'Are you ready? Are you ready?' Those gigs were poorly played songs in between 'Are you readys?" Breakup and legacy Today, S.O.A. is remembered primarily as Rollins' first band - before he joined Black Flag and then founded Rollins Band - but also as an example of early "DC Hardcore" and an influence to other bands such as Detroit's Negative Approach and New York City's Agnostic Front. Out of what was left of the band guitarist Michael Hampton went on to form The Faith in 1981 with Alec MacKaye (brother of Ian MacKaye, later in Ignition) who joined on vocals and Ivor Hansen, S.O.A.'s final drummer. Later Hampton went on to Embrace with Ian MacKaye in 1985, and One Last Wish with Guy Picciotto (Fugazi, Rites of Spring) and Brendan Canty (Deadline, Fugazi, Rites of Spring). Bass player Wendel Blow went on to play in Iron Cross and Lethal Intent. State of Alert's recorded material has been re-released by Dischord on the 20 Years of Dischord compilation and the Dischord 1981: The Year in 7"s compilation which includes the entire 'No Policy' EP. FUNNIEST JEREMY KYLE IS AWESOME....!!! (part two of three)

01:59
**MUST WATCH!!!** Jeremy kyle shows himself for the sexual deviant he is.... Apparantly ITV complained to youtube saying theses videos were copyright infringement! Radio career After graduating from the University of Surrey,[1] Kyle began his career in radio in 1992 for GWR (Great Western Radio) near Swindon, Wiltshire, he worked as a Sales Representative selling advertising space. In 1995 he worked in the Sales department at Orchard FM.[2] After a brief stint presenting, he was signed by Kent's Invicta FM in 1996. In 1997, he joined Birmingham's BRMB, presenting Late & Live every Sunday - Friday from 10pm - 1am. He also presented Jezza's Jukebox. In 2000, Kyle moved to the Century FM network, taking this format with him. The show was called Jezza's Confessions. It broadcast between 9pm and 1am. On July 1, 2002, he made his first broadcast on Virgin Radio, presenting Jezza's Virgin Confessions every weekday 8pm - Midnight. In mid 2003 he broadcast the show from 9pm - 1am every weekday and, in January 2004, the show went out 10pm - 1am Sunday - Thursday. The beginning of June 2004 saw his departure from Virgin Radio. In July 2004, Capital Radio announced it had signed Kyle to present the Confessions show on London's Capital FM from September 5, 2004. The new programme aired from Sunday to Thursday 10pm - 1am including live calls on relationship issues of all kinds. Capital Confessions came to an end on December 22, 2005, to make way for The Jeremy Kyle Show, a similar show which ran from January 2006 to December 2006, at which point Kyle left radio altogether. In late 2007, Kyle began a new show (The Jeremy Kyle Show), broadcasting across Gcap Media's One Network, of which Orchard FM, Invicta FM and BRMB, his previous employers, are a part. The programme differs from his previous shows in that he now interviews other celebrities. Kyle also began broadcasting a new show, on Essex FM, in November 2007[3]. In July 2008, it was announced that Kyle would be joining talkSPORT from September 21, 2008 to present a lunchtime sports show every Sunday called The Jeremy Kyle Sunday Sports Show. [edit] TV career Main article: The Jeremy Kyle Show In 2005 Kyle moved his format to ITV, with a programme also entitled The Jeremy Kyle Show. Here Kyle has reached his widest audience to date. His often aggressive manner with guests (parodied by Dead Ringers) has been the source of both popularity and criticism. He is seemingly unafraid of reprisal from his guests, believing that speaking his mind is better than holding his peace. Guests sometimes take offence at Kyle's comments, one guest even attempting to throw a chair at him, but he often justifies his criticism by claiming that he only wants to help them. Kyle recently claimed on air that his show was watched by 1.8 million viewers, a very high figure for a daytime chat show. The programme has also been parodied in the BBC comedy The Life and Times of Vivienne Vyle. In September 2007 Judge Alan Berg described The Jeremy Kyle Show, popular with students, as trash which existed to "titillate bored members of the public with nothing better to do". He went on to say "It seems to me that the purpose of this show is to affect a morbid and depressing display of dysfunctional people whose lives are in turmoil" and added that it was "human bear-baiting".[4] In February 2008, The Jeremy Kyle Show was again criticised in court after a man who found out during the recording of a show that he was not the father of his wife's baby later pointed an air rifle at her.[5] Other shows Kyle is involved with include Kyle's Academy, a ten part series for ITV1 daytime which first aired on 18th June 2007.[5] A team of experts (life coaches and psychotherapists), headed by Jeremy Kyle take 5 people and work with them over an intensive fortnight to help them on the road to a happier more fulfilled life. Kyle has also presented Half Ton Hospital, a show about morbidly obese people in the United States. [edit] Family life Kyle has one daughter, Harriet (born June 1990), with his first wife Kirsty Holt whom he married in July 1989 in Almondsbury near Bristol. They had met in autumn 1988 at a Bristol recruitment agency where she was a 20 year old secretary and he was 22.[citation needed] They became engaged in December 1988, and their marriage lasted until December 1990, during which time his wife claims that Kyle had carefully concealed a gambling habit from her.[6] He married former model Carla Germaine in December 2002 in North Warwickshire; the pair met when Kyle was presenting on a BRMB radio show and Germaine was a winning contestant to be a bride for a controversial Two Strangers and a Wedding contest hosted by the station.[7] They since have two daughters together named Alice (born January 2004) and Ava (born October 2005).

Legends - Over & Over ( Remix by Pallers )

06:38
The Legends are a Swedish pop band, distributed by Lakeshore Records in the US, by Labrador Records in Sweden and by Little Teddy Recordings in Germany. The Legends were formed in January 2003 and the week after a gig was booked, supporting The Radio Dept. in Stockholm. As the band basically lacked songs and members the first two weeks were spent writing songs and gathering friends who could play, or wanted to play, in the band. According to The Legends the band plays music that can't be placed in a genre, yet they're happy to cite Television Personalities, Comet Gain, Motown and C-86 as their inspirations. They received acclaim internationally for their debut album Up Against The Legends released in 2004 in the UK and the US, and have since then released 3 EPs, 1 single and two new albums ("Public Radio" and "Facts And Figures"). A new single "Seconds Away" is due out on Labrador in November 2008. The band's website says they consist of 9 members, but the band is actually the brainchild of Johan Angergård, the Labrador records founder and member of Swedish bands Club 8 and Acid House Kings. They have been described by Swedish Pop Review as "absolutely the best band to emerge from the Swedish indie scene since The Hives". The Legends song "When The Day Is Done" was a part of the soundtrack for the film Wicker Park. Their song "The Kids Just Wanna Have Fun" was used by Nike as part of a series of football-related advertisements in promoting the 2006 ASEAN Football Championship. ALBUMS: UP AGAINST THE LEGENDS Call it ours There and back again Your song Right on Nothing to be done Everything you say Trouble loves me When the day is done Breaking time, breaking lines Make it all right The kids just wanna have fun No way out PUBLIC RADIO Today Hide away People like us You're alive Air He knows the sun Something good I want to be like everybody else Heaven will wait So much for tomorrow These old hearts of us Do you remember riley?
