This is a teaching video of a Scottish Country Dance. There are audio and on screen instructions and a bar counter. The dancers wear numbered coloured tabards so that the learner can follow a particular dancer through the dance. The Ochil Scottish Country Dancers videoed this dance in June 2016 at St Ninian's Church Hall, Stirling, Scotland. Munich and the Foothills of the Alps
Rick Steves' Europe Travel Guide | In Munich, where locals specialize in good living, we visit boisterous markets and go-for-Baroque palaces, while office workers surf in the Isar River. Heading into the foothills of the Alps, we tour the fairy-tale castles of "Mad" King Ludwig, and climb to the highest point in Germany atop the Zugspitze. Then we cross into Tirol to conquer a desolate ruined castle. © 2002 Rick Steves' Europe

Bavaria Vacation Travel Video Guide • Great Destinations
Bavaria is the largest German territory. Its typical atmosphere is given by little towns and villages. Wooden shells, high red tiled roofs with many little skylights, old signboards, town walls, ancient churches, domes and steeples, narrow streets and riverbanks, huge green areas and many flowers take us to a wonderfully calm and merry world. Beside the well known Octoberfest holder Munich and the medieval older town look keeper Nuremberg, Regensburg and Augsburg there are castles like the romantic Neuschwanstein that are waiting for the traveller. There are glittering lakes in the green pinewood like the Königssee and the Chiemsee, and mountaintops like the snow-capped Zugspitze. Though Bavaria is only one territory within the German territories everyone can feel it is quite different from the others. It is richer, friendlier and its atmosphere is more delightful than the country’s other territories. -------------- Watch more travel videos ► https://goo.gl/MXPgSs Join us. City Tour Nürnberg, Bavaria - South Germany
A new video - City Tour Nürnberg, Bavaria - South Germany Nuremberg (/ˈnjʊərəmbɜːrɡ/; German: Nürnberg; pronounced [ˈnʏɐ̯nbɛɐ̯k] ( listen)[2]) is a city on the river Pegnitz and the Rhine–Main–Danube Canal in the German state of Bavaria, in the administrative region of Middle Franconia, about 170 kilometres (110 mi) north of Munich. It is the second-largest city in Bavaria (after Munich), and the largest in Franconia (Franken). The population as of February 2015, is 517,498, which makes it Germany's fourteenth-largest city. The urban area also includes Fürth, Erlangen and Schwabach with a total population of 763,854. The "European Metropolitan Area Nuremberg" has ca. 3.5 million inhabitants. Nuremberg was, according to the first documentary mention of the city in 1050, the location of an Imperial castle between the East Franks and the Bavarian March of the Nordgau.[4] From 1050 to 1571, the city expanded and rose dramatically in importance due to its location on key trade routes. King Conrad III established a burgraviate, with the first burgraves coming from the Austrian House of Raab but, with the extinction of their male line around 1190, the burgraviate was inherited by the last count's son-in-law, of the House of Hohenzollern. From the late 12th century to the Interregnum (1254–73), however, the power of the burgraves diminished as the Hohenstaufen emperors transferred most non-military powers to a castellan, with the city administration and the municipal courts handed over to an Imperial mayor (German: Reichsschultheiß) from 1173/74.[4][5] The strained relations between the burgraves and the castellan, with gradual transferral of powers to the latter in the late 14th and early 15th centuries, finally broke out into open enmity, which greatly influenced the history of the city.[5] The Imperial Castle Nuremberg is often referred to as having been the 'unofficial capital' of the Holy Roman Empire, particularly because Imperial Diet (Reichstag) and courts met at Nuremberg Castle. The Diets of Nuremberg were an important part of the administrative structure of the empire. The increasing demand of the royal court and the increasing importance of the city attracted increased trade and commerce to Nuremberg. In 1219, Frederick II granted the Großen Freiheitsbrief (Great Letter of Freedom), including town rights, Imperial immediacy (Reichsfreiheit), the privilege to mint coins, and an independent customs policy, almost wholly removing the city from the purview of the burgraves.[4][5] Nuremberg soon became, with Augsburg, one of the two great trade centers on the route from Italy to Northern Europe. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuremberg Follow me on Twitter https://twitter.com/SeMeyer888

My "Metal Detecting" Trip To Bavaria | First Contact, Making New Friends
I arrived in Bavaria and went on a short hunt the next day. Metal detecting was not the purpose of my visit, but I found some space in my bag, to fit the Deus ;). My time was limited, I basically had to rush. It became a scouting mission... Fast movement trough the area, which (in my opinion) was heavily modified. The finds must have been there, but I couldn't reach them with my detector (and setting). Some were located directly under the root of a tree. Other very faint signals were just "too deep". Because of the wet and sticky clay type soil, combined with a dense web of roots, I wasn't even stopping and trying. I could not get my clothes too dirty at the beginning of my trip. I guess, a shovel would be handy that day. I had enough at some point and decided to catch the earlier bus. Under normal circumstances I would call it a disappointment, but I figured out during my next hunt, what I would have to do in order to find stuff. The meeting with my new friend was the best moment of this hunt. What a nice animal. Humans call it a "Fire Salamander": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fire_salamander I had a little bit time later the same day and decided to use it for metal detecting at another location. It turned out to be a very good choice... A video will follow soon. Thanks for watching. More metal detecting adventures: ▶ https://goo.gl/KBqXph

Road Trip: Germany Adventures - Bavaria and Schwarzwald (GoPro Hero 4)
We began our epic road trip in Munich spending there a few days exploring the sights and sounds of the city and having fun in the Hofbrauhaus, Munich’s legendary beer hall. We took a drive on the Romantic Road with its scenic views of traditional Bavarian houses overflowing with flowers as far as the eye can see. We drove down to Fussen, a gorgeous town surrounded by the Alps and spent hours exploring the legendary Neuschwanstein Castle nearby.  Driving the Route 500 through Schwarzwald (Black Forest) is a MUST! This scenic route took us along some very spectacular places such as Baden-Baden, Triberg, Mummelsee etc. Our road in Germany ended with the region of Keiserstuhl where the Germany's finest Riesling is produced. There are panoramas of vineyards that grow on hills of volcanic origin. It's just unforgettable. Motorcycle trip Bavarian Apls & Hike Zugspitze - The top of Germany
Motorcycle trip in Bavaria Alps & Hike Zugspitze (2,962m) Zugspitze is the highest pick of Germany (2,962m). It lies south of Garmisch Partenkirchen and the border between Germany and Austria. I visited also the famous Partnach Gorge and Swanstein Castle. I started the hike from Garmisch Partenkirchen at 05.00h. It toke me 9 hours, 22 km, three liters of water, two bananas, four Snickers and a lot of pain, but I did it. When I came back I went to see the Gorge. I passed it early morning at 05.30h, but it was dark and I cant miss it. On the next day I rode to Neueswanstein Castle, one of the most beautiful castles of Germany.
