You think we human are the only creatures that enjoy oral sex? Well, these two male bears will impress you.
Polish researchers have found the two unrelated male brown bears enjoy fellatiao just as much as we do.
The two cubs were orphaned soon after they were born in 2003. Since then, they have been raised in captivity in a sanctuary in Kuterevo, Croatia. After a 6-year observation period by scientists led by Agnieszka Sergiel of the Polish Academy of Sciences' Department of Wildlife Conservation, they witnessed 28 acts of fellatio between the two male bears.
The bears would engage in oral sex multiple times per day, turning this abnormal behavior into a ritual. The scientists suggested early deprivation of maternal suckling may be the cause.
According to the study, the larger bear is always the receiving one while the other would initiate sex act by putting his head into the receiver's pelvic region or by spreading his hind legs open with his paws to give a 'vigorous penile sucking.'
After ejeculation, the receiving bear would then push away the other with his hind legs, and the semen could be clearly seen on the giving bear's muzzle.
The bears have never had any encounters with female bears, so it is unknown whether this relationship would change if other options are available.
