How to protect your house when you're away? Suppose you're heading out of town. Whether it’s a well-deserved vacation or a business trip, you should secure your home from burglars. First and foremost, cover your peephole! This is an easy way to beef up your security. But there're some other home safety tips you’ll definitely wanna remember. Other videos you might like: 10 Signs Your House Is Being Watched by Robbers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3upEY1dY08& If You See These Signs Near Your Door, Call the Police! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCXPSrcnozk& If You See a Coin In Your Car Door Handle, Run And Call the Police! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WShss20bz4U& TIMESTAMPS: Cover your peephole, people! 0:22 Stop your mail delivery 1:30 A dirty pool can give you away 2:17 Curb your social media enthusiasm 3:01 Burglars know where you can hide your spare keys 3:50 To close or not to close, that is the question! 4:42 Move all your valuables 5:36 Set timers on your electronics 6:19 Secure your sliding glass doors 7:18 It’s all about the illusion 8:09 Lock your garage door 8:57 Install a security system, even if it’s fake 9:39 Confuse criminals 10:11 Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - While peepholes are great because they let you see who’s outside your front door, it also works the other way around. That is, potential intruders can also find ways to look in. - A mailbox that’s flooded with letters and a pile of packages on the front step are clear signs for burglars that there’s no one home to pick them up. - An unkempt yard or a dirty pool can also make your home an obvious target for thieves in your area. - Posting pictures online from the places you’re visiting is just letting everybody know that your house is empty. - It doesn’t matter if you’ve figured out the most discreet place to hide your key, trust me, burglars know all the spots. - You can either leave all your precious stuff with a friend or consider renting a safety deposit box at the bank. This will ensure your valuables remain safe even if your home is broken into. - People usually use these timers for lamps, but TVs or radios can also be plugged into them, which really helps create the illusion that someone’s home. - If you’re on good terms with your neighbors, ask one of them to park their car in your driveway while you’re gone. - You’d think burglars wouldn’t be interested in a bunch of dusty tools and bikes, but you’d be surprised how much they can sell that lawn mower for! - If you don’t want to invest in the real deal, you can fool potential burglars by placing security company signs in your yard and setting up dummy cameras near the front and back door. - If you have a portable GPS system, just don’t leave it in the car. http://www.engvid.com Are you going to travel? Make sure you're prepared with the vocabulary you will need for your business trip or vacation. In this lesson, I'll teach you the English vocabulary you must know for travel -- from preparing your travel itinerary and making reservations, to getting your visas and boarding your flight. It is essential that you know this basic English travel vocabulary, because English is an international language. ESL students who are studying abroad will find these words very helpful. Even if you are not travelling to an English-speaking country, as a tourist, you will need to communicate with people at the airport, and at tourist attractions. Watch this lesson, take the quiz, and have a safe trip! http://www.engvid.com/english-travel-vocabulary-planning-a-trip/ TRANSCRIPT Hi. Welcome again to www.engvid.com. My name is Adam. Today, I'm talking about a very interesting topic because, for example, in Toronto right now, it's very, very cold. I'm thinking about travelling; I would love to go somewhere hot to get away from this winter. So, when I travel, I have, of course, to make travel arrangements. So here, we have a list of words, a list of things that you must think about before you go on a trip to a different country. We're going to go over each of these. We're going to start with "booking" and "reservation". Now, many people think that this is more or less the same, which it is. To book something or to reserve something means to keep a place, to keep your place. You book a flight, you book a hotel room. Generally speaking, you make a reservation at a restaurant; you make a booking with a travel agency or with a hotel, with accommodations, any type of accommodation. Speaking of, accommodations are hotel, motel, hostel, B&B, bed and breakfast; all kinds of accommodations. Make sure you have a booking before you go, so your place is safe, it's kept for you. When you arrive, it's all good. Next, when you're at your destination, the place you're going to, you might want to "rent" a car. Okay? Sorry, this is accommodation. One thing I wanted to also make sure - "accommodations", without the "s", "accommodation" means something different. Okay? "Accommodations" is where you're going to sleep. And you might want to "rent" a car. You can also "hire" a car. Means the same thing. British people generally use "hire" more, North Americans use "rent" more often. Next, you have to think about your "baggage". Suitcase, luggage, bags, anything you're carrying with you. You might have "check-in baggage". Sorry, I don't know if you can see this guy. "Check-in baggage" and "carry-on baggage". "Check-in baggage" means you give it to the airline, they put it under the plane, you pick it up at your destination. "Carry-on" means you carry on, so you carry it on your shoulder on to the plane. Okay? In your carry-on, you have to be careful, it has to be small. You can't have liquids because of security and all that stuff. So things that you can't put in your carry-on, you must put in your check-in baggage and give to the airline. Next, when you get to the airport, assuming you're flying, you will have to do a few things that concern the word "boarding". Before you board your plane, get on your plane - you will get a boarding pass that lets you pass through security and into the airport. On the boarding pass, you will see your "boarding time", this is when you get on the plane and your "boarding gate", the place in the airport where you're going to get on your plane before takeoff. Okay? We can also use this for a train. You board a train, you get a boarding pass with a boarding time, and generally a boarding platform. Okay? So "boarding", getting on your vehicle, whatever vehicle that might be. You will also generally need to get a "visa" to many countries. Now, a "visa" is something that you use to get into a country, it gives you permission to stay in that country. But be aware: many places, if you're going through another country... So, for example: I'm going to country "C" via country "B". "Via" means by way of or through. So I might need a "transit visa", means I can go there, switch planes and keep going on my journey. But I'm still in another country, I need a transit visa. Excuse me. Also, make sure you're prepared to spend money as soon as you get to your destination. If you're going to a different country, that country will but using a different "currency", type of money. In Canada, we have Canadian dollar. America has American dollar. Okay? For things like that. In Europe, you need the euro. So make sure you have some of the currency before you go, or purchase it at the airport or at the destination you're going to.

http://intelligenttravel.com.au/ The Top 5 Business Travel Threats for 2015 Do you travel for business? Do manage business travellers? Do you know the top threats for business travellers in 2015? Then you’re going to want to pay VERY close attention to this presentation. Hi, my name is Tony Ridley, and I’m the CEO and founder at Intelligent Travel. If you travel for business, or manage those that do, you have probably heard plenty of those “travel threat forecasts” Telling you what event, country or activities are going to be the biggest threat for the year Regardless of the fact you may not even travel to those locations in the first place! They are all fear, uncertainty and doubt based, to get you to buy more of their “stuff” Well, this isn’t one of “those” presentations. In the past, we have listened to those travel security briefings too, but found they were more about the presenter or companies very security focused topics, and did not include travel management Before social media, we thought the topics must have been valuable to some travellers or managers, or why would they make them? However, we could see from the online views, very few actually watched the presentations at all. Travellers and travel managers are busy people, they don’t need another random, generic, applicable to only a few, forecasts and ‘scary’ scenarios to add to their daily tasks. We set out to review all the travel safety management issues, and highlight just the top 5 that affect over 90% of business travellers. Did you know that nearly ALL travel risk ratings fail even basic safety standards? Did you know that most businesses don’t use over 90% of the “travel assistance” services they purchase? Did you know that you are over 1,000 times more likely to experience a “travel safety” hazard than a “travel security” threat? Did you know there are few, if any, security laws business travellers and their employers must follow when travelling? We are only going to focus on the top travel health, safety, security and risk management issues that will impact nearly ALL business travellers in 2015 You will discover that they are not “security” issues at all And give you an action plan for review, management or creation of a business travel safety management system that WORKS! This information is very controversial for many in the travel management sector. But it doesn’t mean its not TRUE! It’s crucial that you watch this presentation now, or you run the risk of exposing your business and travellers to much greater risks. Even if you have spend A LOT OF MONEY on a so called “travel security” services or membership, you can still fix some of the mistakes you are making TODAY! And stop wasting money on products and services that don’t actually provide the required travel safety management systems or support. Here are the TOP 5 business travel safety threats for 2015 Just knowing more about these issues will save your business thousands, if not millions dollars in potential losses due to errors, failures, incidents or litigation. Number 1 Travel Crowd Services or Retail Apps Number 2 Open Bookings Number 3 Travel Expense Management Number 4 Conformity…….Not Compliance Number 5 Travel Safety management We have outlined these top strategic and systemic issues for businesses to focus on and review, before they dive into any tactile or detailed aspects of their system, location or processes Failure to employ the right strategy will not be rectified by detailed tactical procedures We have seen too many businesses making this mistake in 2014, and decided to raise awareness for these key threats in 2015 We know of government departments and NGO’s that have made these mistakes too If you would like more information or specific advice, please contact us directly via the link below Or visit us at www.intelligenttravel.com.au

What are your short business trip must haves? https://gentl.mn/business-trip-essentials #howtopackforabusinesstrip #businesstripessentials #notsponsored HOW TO PACK YOUR CARRY-ON LIKE A PRO: https://gentl.mn/2xNeCgd SHOP THE VIDEO: 1. Trench Coat Guide: https://gentl.mn/2qCkind How To Pack A Suitcase For A Business Trip: https://gentl.mn/2qEpGFD What To Wear To An Interview: https://gentl.mn/2H74Ee8 16 Overcoat DO’s & DON’Ts: https://gentl.mn/2H70bno First of all, it starts with a choice of the right suitcase or carry-on. Personally, I'm a big fan of wheels especially four wheels, not the two wheels, because you can easily maneuver them with one hand. Also, I prefer stiffer suitcases so I can put it back on top of it without it collapsing on me. So when you start packing, I suggest to first lay everything out on your bed or maybe on a carpet, on a clean space where we have a good overview. So what shoes to bring for a business trip? Black is the ultimate color. I suggest you go with a black cap toe Oxford. Alternatively, you can also go with a black oxford half brogue or black oxford quarter brogue. A little bit of broguing makes it a little less formal, at the same time, it's perfectly appropriate for everything. Now the second pair to bring is a dark red or oxblood burgundy colored dress shoe. It could either be a tassel loafer and you could travel with that because it's easy to take on and off when you're through security or you could go with a Derby shoe or maybe even an oxford. Next up, I suggest bringing two to three dress shirts. Even if you're just going on a one day trip, there's always a chance that someone will spill something on you and it's much better to have something that you can change into than having to figure out where you can have it dry-cleaned. Next up is a suit. There's probably no other garment that is more business appropriate than a dark suit. If you have to pick one, I suggest to go with a navy worsted suit, ideally single-breasted with notch lapels, either one button or two buttons, side vents, maybe some cuffs at the bottom of pants so they pull down the pants and prevent any potential wrinkles. In terms of weight, I'd go for a three-season weight. If you want just one all-rounder, you can also opt for something with an open weave. That way, you feel the breeze because sometimes when you're in an office environment, it can get quite hot but you know yourself if you're likely to overheat or if you feel cold all the time. When it comes to accessories I think a necktie is essential especially in a classic business environment. If you're a little more flamboyant or if you are maybe independent or in an area where dress codes are a little more relaxed, you can also go with a bow tie, otherwise, I suggest to stay with a classic necktie. A pocket square can really help to make your outfit look more polished. So if you have a white shirt, a white linen pocket squarw especially in a TV fold or a crown fold, it can add a finishing touch. You can find a selection of all kinds of pocket squares as well as regular neckties and bow ties in our shop here. When it comes to cufflinks I suggest to go with a simple pair such as a monkey fist knot cufflink in silver gold. Skip the colored enamel cufflinks as well as the gemstone or diamond cufflinks. Next up is a toiletry kit. I suggest keeping a small bag that you can easily remove at any point in time because sometimes at security, you have to remove it depending on your status. To save on space, definitely go with travel sized items and don't bring your regular size aftershave shaving cream or toothpaste. So last but not the least, something that you don't pack but I suggest you always bring is either a type of overcoat in the winter. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to stay updated? AskMe Presents Top 5 "Travel Tips and Tricks" (Road Trip) by Vir Sanghvi, Enjoy these Travel Hacks and Tips on AskMe Guru. How to plan a 'Road Trip' or a long vacation especially with kids and children aboard? Here travel expert Vir Sanghvi would share tips and tricks to any of you who are planning a road trip, as well as share the road trip essentials. Road trips are one of its kind adventures; you are always going to treasure. These are those moments when you step out of your comfort zone and still enjoy them with utmost pleasure. To avoid discomfort during your trip follow these tips given by travel Guru Vir Sanghvi: 1. Road is the Destination: Sometimes roads bring more delight to the trip than the destination. So plan everything in advance, pull-over and enjoy the wonderful routes. 2. Say Cheese: No trip is complete without clicking pictures. Photography is indispensable from any trip, so stop and click pictures when you see anything exciting. Make memories and preserve them, do not miss anything. There will come a time when you'll give a heartfelt smile because of those photographs. 3. The tiny toddlers: When you're traveling with your family, make sure your kids don't get bored. The toddlers are impatient and will keep on asking whether you've reached your destination or not. Be equipped with all the stuff that'll entertain them like books, DVDs and laptops along. 4. Be sure you're safe: Avoid traveling during nights as roads are not safe. There are truck drivers traveling via highways, and if you visit any hill-station, it might be possible that your road is blocked due to fog. And relying on GPS is a good idea neither, carry physical maps along. Also, have a First-Aid box at your disposal. Crisis management is highly recommended. 5. Nosh on the best food: The best food is not found in the 5-star hotels but on the highways. For instance, you find delicious North Indian food in Punjabi dhabas and exotic South Indian food in small shops of Kerala. It may vary according to place you're traveling. So plan in advance and stop at right places to have some tantalizing food. Plan an amazing road trip and you'll never have to regret it, if you follow the aforementioned advices. For a short time in the late 1980's and early 1990's, Donald Trump owned an airline. In 1989, Trump raised $365 million to purchase the Eastern Shuttle, which provided business travelers with quick flights between New York, Boston, and Washington. Within 18 months, the airline lost over $125 million, and by 1992, Trump decided it was time to walk away. Trump Shuttle created over 1,000 jobs, many of which were filled by Eastern Airlines employees who were out of work due to a labor strike. We talked to three former employees of Trump Shuttle. ------------------------------------------------------ #DonaldTrump #Airline #BusinessInsider Business Insider tells you all you need to know about business, finance, tech, retail, and more. In 2009, Continental Flight 3407 crashed into a house, killing all 49 people aboard and one person on the ground as the plane was arriving in Buffalo, New York. Since then, U.S. airlines have transported about 8 billion passengers without a single fatal crash. “There’s one dangerous part of the airplane trip, and that’s the drive to the airport,” said John Cox, a retired airline captain and an aviation accident investigator. The fiery crash of the turboprop plane on Feb. 12, 2009, prompted federal regulations requiring more rest and training for pilots. In their investigation report, U.S. safety officials cited fatigue and the need for more training. They said pilot error was the probable cause as the plane lost speed and stalled a few miles from the airport in Buffalo during a flight from Newark, New Jersey. In 2013, the Federal Aviation Administration increased the requirements for commercial pilots and first officers. They now must have 1,500 hours of flying experience before getting a commercial license. The previous requirement was 250 hours. Rest requirements for pilots were also increased following the crash of the plane, which was operated by now-defunct Colgan Air. The first officer of the Bombardier Q400 plane had taken a red-eye trip the night before from Seattle and then commuted from Memphis, Tennessee, to Newark before the flight to Buffalo, according to the accident report. The captain of the plane had repeatedly failed flight tests throughout his training, drawing more scrutiny on pilot candidates’ education. “The life-saving changes that came out of that event have truly been profound,” said National Transportation Safety Board Chairman Robert Sumwalt, who investigated the crash at the time. “The traveling public has an expectation of safety now,” Cox said. The stricter training rules make it harder for airlines, particularly smaller regional carriers that pay less than large carriers, to hire pilots, just as they’re facing a wave of pilot retirements. “It has contributed to the shortage and the airlines have been slow to do something about that,” said John Goglia, a former member of the NTSB. Greg Everhard, a United Airlines captain and spokesman for the Air Line Pilots Association, the labor union that represents the carrier’s pilots, said the changes brought about by regulators and the family members of Flight 3407 passengers turned “the hard lessons learned from the tragedy” into better training rules that shouldn’t be rolled back to save on costs. U.S. air travel hasn’t been without incident. Last April, a fan blade on a Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 broke loose during a flight, sending shrapnel flying and shattering a window, killing a passenger, Jennifer Riordan. It was Southwest’s first on-board fatal accident in 47 years of operations. The FAA shortly afterward issued an emergency order requiring an inspection of the fan blades on the engine type that was on Southwest Flight 1380. “As great as the record has been, we’ve had one passenger fatality [last year] and that’s one too many,” Sumwalt said. Despite the new rules that came out of the 2009 crash, other concerns have emerged. Regulators have recently examined issues including fires of lithium ion batteries on board aircraft and avoiding collisions with drones. Even a report of a drone sighting can cripple air travel, as the two busiest U.K. airports recently discovered. “There’s always the risk of complacency and we want to ensure that each flight is operated to the highest level,” Sumwalt said. Rules made after the Colgan Air crash only apply to passenger planes though. But with the recent crash of an Amazon Air cargo in Houston, that might come under more scrutiny. Though it’s still early in the investigation, Atlas Air, the company who hired the pilots involved in the crash, has recently been accused of overworking its pilots by one of its employees, according to a Business Insider story. Atlas Air did not immediately return a request for comment from CNBC. » Subscribe to CNBC: http://cnb.cx/SubscribeCNBC About CNBC: From 'Wall Street' to 'Main Street' to award winning original documentaries and Reality TV series, CNBC has you covered. TRIP REPORT: Flying 5* Garuda Indonesia Airlines from Jakarta Airport (CGK) to Bali/Denpasar Airport (DPS), Indonesia in Business Class aboard an Airbus A330-300. After visiting the Lounge in Jakarta Airport boarding started on-time for our flight to Bali. I got a Business Class ticket since my Upgrade offer was accepted by the airline (you could bid for an Upgrade from Economy Class). Onboard the seats were in a 2-2-2 configuration in Business class and offered some useful things. Sadly the seat did not convert into a fully flat bed but that was no problem for me as the flight time to Bali is only around 2 hours. There was a meal service during the flight and i liked it. After arrival in Bali there was a waiting lounge and a red carpet where I was able to collect my luggage from - not as usual from the baggage carousel. Traveling to NYC, Hanging at WeWork and Charity Water [VLOG] Please Donate Even $1 to Charity Water If I've Ever Created Value for You. http://bit.ly/waterisawesome I've been traveling back to back for the last few weeks. This week I was in New York city for Next Gen Summit, several business meetings, and FoodLovesTech. While traveling through New York City and just in general I've had a lot on my mind about where my life is heading especailly as I grow my business and start a few new projects. My philanthropy and involvement with causes has been on my mind a lot recently. I've been making donations to various causes like Charity Water a few times a year, but I've always wanted to be more involved. I felt it was something I was going to step up and do when I get older. But I decided this is one time where I'm not going to be patient and wait things out... I decided I was going to step up and start doing it right now. The Create Awesome Community can be a force for good beyond influencing the culture of the creative world, we can give a little bit right now and change the lives of hundreds of people around the world. Charity Water interest me because they are very transparent, use technology and social media very well and they found a way to give 100% of our donations toward the cause, by having private donors cover the other expenses. So if I've ever created any value for you I would ask you to donate what you can to Charity Water http://bit.ly/waterisawesome Also I know I missed a few videos this week, I had less time to edit than I realized and I'm working on a better system for having the videos out while I'm on the road or on a plane. Things will be more normal as we get closer to July where I'll be taking a break from travel.

Visiting Sao Paulo, Brazil, whether for work or play can be extremely rewarding with amazing museums and shopping, but there are a few things you should not do when you go to Sao Paulo. This video covers the Don'ts of Visiting Sao Paulo, Brazil. Filmed in Sao Paulo State, Brazil Copyright Mark Wolters 2017 1. Don't expect to get anywhere quickly in Sao Paulo. With so many people, cars and craziness it will take you longer than what google says it will to get anywhere. 2. Don't skip the Mercado Municipal! This Sao Paulo tradition is amazing. From amazing fruit to the best bologna or sorry Mortadella sandwich you ever ate. 3. Don't skip out on eating non-Brazilian food while in Sao Paulo. There are tons of amazing places, foods, restaurants and styles for you to enjoy! 4. Don't lose your wits. Pay attention! Sao Paulo has a reputation for crime for a reason. 5. Don't expect a beach vacation. Sao Paulo is not a Brazilian beach city, it is a cultural, shopping, museum, business hub for South America. Corporate travel managers rely on accurate, timely and complete travel data to achieve their business goals of controlling travel spend, increasing compliance, negotiating with suppliers, and managing security safety and security risks. Without accurate travel data, it is very difficult for travel managers to make informed decisions when implementing strategic deals with specific partners or, importantly, driving supplier negotiations. However, a study* by the GBTA revealed that businesses struggled to reconcile data from multiple data sources - with their staff spending an astonishing 442,000 hours per year, or $22.7 million, manually reconciling and cleaning travel data. With only 37% of travel managers believing their data is completely accurate and 64% not trusting that they have complete data to calculate the total cost of a trip, this presents a challenge. Pi SLATE [self-learning automatic trip engine] solves this problem. Using self-learning machine learning technology, travel managers can now easily and quickly consolidate from all travel data sources and calculate the total cost of each individual trip. *The State of Expense Data Management and Consolidation in the Business Travel Industry Book a demo now at https://www.p-i.net/pi-travel

Long Motorcycle Trip - What we need to know? Did you plan your long motorcycle trip? Are you sure that you took the right decisions? In this video I will talks about the top 5 common mistakes most of the riders make. I will also tell you few easy tips to avoid it. So guys, it doesn’t matter how good rider you are, how many km you have, if you never been on the long trip you will make some of these mistakes. 1. Mistake N: 1 – Wrong motorcycle. It is very important to have the right bike. What that’s mean? How to choose the one for you? I will try to explain: - Don’t lessen what the people will said. Don’t trust anyone about the type of the motorcycle you should have on the long trip. If you ask ten people, you will probably receive ten different opinions and what is the funny is that they all will be right. Is that possible? Of course it is. - Only you know, how fast you ride, how many km per day you will have and where exactly you will go. So, if we follow this logic, only you can choose the right bike. What you have to do is to learn something about the area you are going. Find all possible information. Terrains, roads, elevations, weather conditions and many more. I told you this many times, but I will tell you again – the preparation is the key of success. Make your homework and you will be happy after that. - To go on long trip in Siberia “road of bones” for example with GS 1200 is not the right decision. The last thing you going to need on such a trip is a heavy bike. - On the other hand to ride on the iron boot competition (1,000miles per day on the highway) with Suzuki DR 400 will be really enthusiastic adventure. - In both cases you will make a terrible mistake. 2. Mistake N: 2 - Wrong gear choice. I have seen many riders keep making the same mistakes. To go on the long trip, with leather suit is not going to be the right choice. It will work, but not every day, not in all conditions. 3. Mistake N: 3 - Too much weight. Most of you guys take way too much. To have already have bike 200-250 kg and to load more 50 on the top it’s not something I will ever do. The weight is always matter. Specially if you have plans to ride off road. 4. Mistake N: 4 - Planed too many or to little km per day. In the first scenario you have to ride too long and you can’t really enjoy the trip. In the second you will travel too slow and will need more time. In both case the result is not going to be what you expect. The best way to learn about your possibilities is to practice. Start with simple day or two trips, they will show how to do it in the future. Once you know your riding stile will be time to open the map and do it properly. Always plan a little less then you can actually ride. 5. Mistake N: 5 - To try to ride and work at the same time. The idea is to ride all day and later in the evening to try to work on the computer or the telephone and keep the business in good order. I have tried this couple of times. Every night when we stopped my friend was relaxing, drinking beers looking around, but I have to stay online, trying to solve all existing problems, to answer all e-mails and so on. The result was a big mess, which one was very difficult to fix later. Do not even try, it is not working! If you can’t leave the business alone, don’t go on the trip or find somebody to replace you. Only then you can really enjoy the journey. I don’t feel as if you owe me anything, but if you find my videos useful, then why not? The world will be much better place if we just help, instead of hate each other! EVERYONE REACTS DIFFERENTLY. DO NOT USE DRUGS BECAUSE YOU SEE ME TALKING ABOUT IT. DON'T EVEN USE DRUGS. IF YOU DO, BE SAFE AND TEST YOUR SUBSTANCES. THERE ARE POSITIVES AND NEGATIVES TO EVERY DRUG. YOU COULD EXPERIENCE A NIGHTMARE TRIP. BE SAFE. THIS IS JUST A STORY.
