What is WHITE LABEL PRODUCT? What does WHITE LABEL PRODUCT mean? WHITE LABEL PRODUCT meaning - WHITE LABEL PRODUCT definition - WHITE LABEL PRODUCT explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. A white label product is a product or service produced by one company (the producer) that other companies (the marketers) rebrand to make it appear as if they had made it. The name derives from the image of a white label on the packaging that can be filled in with the marketer's trade dress. Its origins can be traced to vinyl records. Before records were to be released to the public, often before official artwork was designed and printed, promotional copies were sent out in a white sleeve to DJs to solicit radio and nightclub play, in an effort to build hype and gauge public interest by the record labels, ultimately to better estimate manufacturing quantities. This created a situation where certain respected or well-connected DJs would have exclusive copies of material, immediately increasing demand on certain big records. Occasionally this term refers to records whose labels had been torn off or covered with a white label by competing DJs to conceal which records they were using. White label production is often used for mass-produced generic products including electronics, consumer products and software packages such as DVD players, televisions, and web applications. Some companies maintain a sub-brand for their goods, for example the same model of DVD player may be sold by Dixons as a Saisho and by Currys as a Matsui, which are brands exclusively used by those companies. Some websites use white labels to enable a successful brand to offer a service without having to invest in creating the technology and infrastructure itself. Many IT and modern marketing companies outsource or use white-label companies and services to provide specialist services without having to invest in developing their own product. Most supermarket private brand or store brand products are provided by companies that sell to multiple supermarkets, changing only the labels. In addition, some manufacturers create low-cost generic brand labels with only the name of the product ("Cola"). Richelieu Foods, for example, is a private label food manufacturing company producing frozen pizza, salad dressing, sauces, marinades, condiments, and deli salads for other companies, including Hy-Vee, Aldi, Save-A-Lot, Sam's Club, Hannaford Brothers Co., BJ's Wholesale Club (Earth's Pride brand), and Shaw's Supermarkets (Culinary Circle brand). Smaller banks sometimes outsource their credit-card or check processing operations to larger banks, which issues and processes the credit cards as white label cards, typically for a fee, allowing the smaller bank to brand the cards as their own without having to invest in the necessary infrastructure. A current example of this is Cuscal Limited providing white label card and transactional products to Credit Unions in Australia or Simple (formerly BankSimple) in the United States which issues bank accounts and debit cards operated by The Bancorp Bank. In Southern California, City National Bank (CNB) is the largest check processor in that half of the state, because in addition to checks issued by its own customers, CNB processes checks for the customers of more than 60 smaller Southern California banks. Many software companies offer white label software to agencies or other customers, including the possibility to resell the software under the customer’s brand. This typically requires functionalities such as the adaptation of the software’s visual appearance, multi-customer management and automatic billing to the end-customers based on usage parameters.

Dropshipping vs White Label Vs Creating Your Own Product | Effective Ecommerce Podcast #6

16:18
Get Your Free Online Store Success Pack Here: http://www.effectiveecommerce.com/ESstarting/ Effective Ecommerce Itunes: http://www.effectiveecommerce.com/itunes/ In this episode of the Effective Ecommerce Podcast. We're gonna be talking about Dropshipping versus White Labeling versus Creating your own Product. Now before I go any farther I do want to say that I actually I'm rear according this just for YouTube I messed up and I forgot to record the video for the podcast I did and you can actually watch the mess-up live I did a live YouTube stream I'm doing a you live YouTube stream every Wednesday at 5:00 PM PST or 8:00 PM EST. So you if you wanted to you could have saw my mess-up live. So I'm re-recording this just for YouTube so if I leave anything out please let me know please leave it in the comments down below but you can see the full original podcast episode or you can listen to it at least by going to iTunes looking for the effective e-commerce podcast so if you're in a podcast definitely check that out. But let's get started so the first thing I want to talk about here is what is the difference between Dropshipping, White Labeling, and creating your own products I think it's important to define the different terms there's Dropshipping which basically you act as a middleman customers buy stuff from you and then you turn around and tell the manufacturer where to ship it so an example of this might be you are the kayak king and you have a website kayak King com and you help pair people with certain kayaks so someone might come to your website buy a $500 kayak then you go around and you pay $400 to some manufacturer let's say you know Rugged Outdoors Kayaks you give them bucks and they ship it for you so there's a lot of benefits for this and we'll talk about the benefits in just a second the next thing we'll talk about is white labeling and define that white labeling is basically just taking a product that already exists nine times out of ten this is going to Alibaba or going to some kind of Chinese manufacturer and just sticking your logo on it and making it your own product even though there's nothing special about it there's nothing that makes it your own thing that company can turn around and White Label it as many companies as possible meaning you'll have as much competition as they want really an example of this would be you go to a Chinese manufacturer who bruises handheld fans. and you stick your logo on it and maybe it's Cool Breeze Fan and you're just you know whatever you're Fanning yourself with that and that's a white labeling a product so good thing about that is it's a little bit easier than creating your own product from scratch but the downside is anybody can do it it's not that hard another downside is you do have to pay for inventory so drop shipping is a little bit better because you don't have to pay for inventory in that regard but with all of these one of the issues you run across is the easier it is the easier it is for a competitor to come in and steal your lunch because it would suck if you're the kayak king and let's just say Should you start a Dropshipping site? Maybe white label some products? Or is it worth it to go and start your own company from Scratch? In this episode, we answer all these questions and compare and contrast. Redo all the way to the good things about drop shipping Dropshipping -Good for learning -B2B seems to work -Not as easy as a lot of gurus make it out to be -You are a middleman -A lot of downsides White Labeling -Good for Amazon -Makes sense Creating Your Own Product -I prefer this -You have something real, adding real value Online Store AZ Course -As mentioned earlier you can sign up for an online store using my links -Leave a 5-star review on Itunes for a chance to get a free consulting session

What is White Label? Products, Software, and More

02:37
White label, or white-labeling, is the process of buying a private label, rebranded or brandable product or service, and then re-selling it under the reseller’s brand name to the end customer. White label companies create a product or service so that it can be rebranded by your agency so that you, in turn, can re-sell it as your own product to small and medium-sized business. How to Read Nutrition Facts | Food Labels Made Easy

05:29
To support our channel and level up your health, check out: Our Fast Weight Loss Course: http://thehealthnerds.com/the-science-of-fast-weight-loss-course Our Better Health Basics Course: http://thehealthnerds.com/food-health-happiness Today I am going to teach you guys how to read nutrition facts labels. One of the best ways to improve your health quickly is by learning how to read nutrition labels. The first thing you’ll notice at the top of nutrition facts are the serving size and servings per container. This is simply the “amount” in the package or container. Pretty self explanatory... Next you have the ingredients. Everything inside these black lines is representative of ONE serving. This is important to understand because, next you will see the calories and the calories from fat. This is pretty much the only thing most people ever look at and this is a common mistake… If the package says 200 calories on the bag of chips, but the serving per container says 2.5, that means there is actually 500 calories in the bag… This is a clever little marketing trick that you should pay attention to. Pressing on, you will see the total fat on the package along with a number and a percentage on the right hand side. The number represents the total fat in one serving and percentage represents the percentage based on a 2000 calorie diet. So 8 gram is 12% of a 2000 calorie diet. I should also remind you that fat is not bad for you and there are plenty of healthy foods that are high in fat. What you really want to watch out for is any trans fat. Trans fat is the kind linked to heart disease and all sorts of bad stuff. Avoid this at all costs. Saturated fat should be much less of a concern. This may surprise some of you, so I will link a few studies below that have conclusively proven that saturated fat is fine to eat and not the cause of the many diseases it was wrongly accused for. Think of saturated fat as the middle child of the fat family, he’s got a good heart but is just a little misunderstood. Now, you may be thinking, wait a minute… Why does the total number of saturated fat and trans fat not add up to the total fat at the top… Where’s the other 7 grams? Well this is because not all fats will be listed on the nutrition label. Only the nutrients deemed most important ever make it to the nutrition labels. Don’t worry though. The other fats not listed are generally healthy and should be much less of a concern. Pressing on you will see cholesterol and sodium. Remember, these numbers are based on ONE serving. If the sodium was 25% of your daily intake and the package had 2.5 servings in it. That means the entire package contains 63% of you daily sodium intake. Quite a bit considering this is one snack. Onward, you’ll sees the carbohydrate section. Carbohydrates are the breads, grains, fiber and SUGARS in the food. The first section you’ll see is for dietary fiber. Having a good amount of dietary fiber is a good thing as it helps with digestion and satisfaction from meals. Now the next section is what you need to pay attention to. The total sugars in the food you’re eating are important to watch out for as, like the trans fats, these have been linked to a whole host of diseases and health problems. Also you should be aware of not only the sugar in the food, but what kind of carbohydrates you’re eating. If the food is very high in carbohydrates, but low in dietary fiber, even though the carbs are not labeled as “sugar,” they will operate very similarly in the blood stream. These are called “simple carbs.” This is why you need to watch out for unrefined carbohydrates like white bread and pastas. Next up, you’ll see the label for protein. Knowing that foods high in protein lead to better satisfaction from meals, and promote lean muscle tissue, you will want most of the foods you eat to have a good amount of protein. Finally, we have a few key vitamins at the bottom. It may sound strange, but ignore these. The numbers will be notoriously low and you should be focusing instead on getting in lots of fruits and vegetables every day to meet your vitamin requirements. Leafy greens contain calcium and iron, and fruits contain vitamin c and a. The rest of the nutrition labels facts contain recommendations about how much of each category to get in. They do not change on nutrition labels and are not that important. Finally, on some labels you will see the calories per gram for each macronutrient. Fat contains 9 grams per serving and Carbohydrates and Proteins contain 4. So for every 10 grams of fat, you will have 90 calories. For every 10 grams of protein or carbs you will get 40 calories. Safe to say, you should now have a general understanding of how nutrition labels work. Most importantly, you can stop assuming something is healthy for you based on tricky packaging and start KNOWING the difference.

What is MANDATORY LABELING? What does MANDATORY LABELING mean

03:17
What is MANDATORY LABELING? What does MANDATORY LABELING mean? MANDATORY LABELING meaning - MANDATORY LABELING definition - MANDATORY LABELING explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. Mandatory labelling or labeling (see spelling differences) is the requirement of consumer products to state their ingredients or components. Moral purchasing and problems like allergies are two things which are enabled by labelling. It is mandated in most developed nations, and increasingly in developing nations, especially for food products, e.g. "Grade A" meats. With regard to food and drugs, mandatory labelling has been a major battleground between consumer advocates and corporations since the late 19th century. Because of past scandals involving deceptive labelling, countries like the United States and Canada require most processed foods to have a Nutrition facts label on the label, and the table's formatting and content must conform to strict guidelines. The European Union equivalent is the slightly different Nutrition information table, which may also be supplemented with standardized icons indicating the presence of allergens. In China, all clothing is labelled with the factory of origin, including telephone and fax numbers, although this information is not available to buyers outside China, who see only a generic Made In China tag. The development genetically modified food has led to one of the most persistent and divisive debates about the mandatory labelling, which is one of the central topics in genetically modified food controversies. Advocates of such labelling claim that the consumer should make the choice whether to expose themselves to any possible health risk from consuming such foods. Detractors point to studies that conclude genetically modified food is safe, and point out that for many commodity products, the identity of the grower and the custody chain are not known. Voluntary labelling and co-marketing of products deemed desirable is another matter usually carried out by entirely different means, e.g. Slow Food. There has been increased regulatory interest in substantiating these claims, and in some jurisdictions, food labels require regulatory approval before use. An interesting halfway is those labels that are considered mandatory by one buying population and effectively preclude purchase if they are not there, e.g. kosher, vegan, and the aforementioned GMO-free label now seen on many organic products. Areas in which mandatory labelling is being discussed include: - genetically modified food - see genetically modified food controversies - spraying of meat with bacteriophages - in the United States, fresh meat was added to the list of products which require mandatory Country of Origin labels (mCOOL) in 2002, however this was the subject of a challenge in the World Trade Organization by Canada, which Canada won in 2011

Food Labeling: How to Identify Conventional, Organic and GMO Produce

02:52
The price look-up (PLU) code system used by most produce distributors has the side benefit of allowing consumers to identify conventional and organic produce at the grocery store. Even though the defeat of Proposition 37 means that genetically engineered information will not be added to labels at this time, PLU codes do have the potential to identify genetically engineered produce. This video shows you how to read PLU codes to unlock the information that is already right at your fingertips. Written and Produced by Mike Kahn.

What is Data Labeling?

01:16
Data labeling is the process of attaching meaning to different types of digital data like audio files, text, images, videos and more. Within the customer care industry, that means your support team digitally assigns meaning by listening to call recordings or viewing chat logs and labeling specific components of each interaction. Once the data is labeled, it’s used for training advanced algorithms to recognize patterns in future similar data sets. Algorithms can be designed to recognize opportunities for improvement or automation within processes, identify and alert team leads that a customer service agent needs help with a call. Data labeling provides agents with likely solutions to customer issues, anticipate follow-up concerns related to a customer’s current issue, suggest relevant product or service upgrades, and much more! As data is continuously collected, labeled and integrated into the algorithm training process a more intelligent customer experience emerges. Subscribe here ➜ http://bit.ly/JustOneDimeSubscribe If I was asked, "What is the #1 most important thing to teach a new Amazon seller?" without hesitation I would reply, "How to private label your product so that no one else can sell it." This is the heart of building passive income on Amazon. Private labeling means you did something to the product to make it uniquely your brand that no one else has rights to sell. Private labeling can be done on numerous levels, and one level that I did not mention in this video is informational private labeling, where you add a manual or how-to tips to your product--information that you personally wrote, so that no one else can mimic your product. Here are the main levels of private labeling your product on Amazon: First Level: - In your listing title, add "By [Your Company Name]" - Upload your logo as one of your product photos. Make sure it is not the first photo or the last two photos. Second Level: - Have your logo printed on a sticker that you attach to your product or to the packaging. - Have your logo printed on the product or the retail packaging of your product Third Level: - Accessorizing. Add accessories to your core product that no one else is adding to theirs. A powerful way to achieve this which makes it extremely hard for competitors to compete with you is by adding a training manual or instruction tips that you personally wrote. Fourth Level: - Trademark your company name and logo. You can apply for trademarks in numerous countries simultaneously here: http://www.wipo.int/madrid/en/ Brand Registry: When you register your brand with Amazon, no one else can edit your listing and it also makes it much more difficult for competitors to claim that your product is "not authentic." Three steps to take to be prepared for applying for the Brand Registry https://sellercentral.amazon.com/brand/catalog-brand-application/create?: 1. An image of your product packaging with branding visible on the packaging. 2. An image of a product with your branding visible on the product itself. 3. Link to an active website that displays your brand or products.

What is LABELING THEORY? What does LABELING THEORY mean? LABELING THEORY meaning & explanation

What is LABELING THEORY? What does LABELING THEORY mean? LABELING THEORY meaning - LABELING THEORY definition - LABELING THEORY explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. Labeling theory is the theory of how the self-identity and behavior of individuals may be determined or influenced by the terms used to describe or classify them. It is associated with the concepts of self-fulfilling prophecy and stereotyping. Labeling theory holds that deviance is not inherent to an act, but instead focuses on the tendency of majorities to negatively label minorities or those seen as deviant from standard cultural norms. Labeling theory had its origins in Suicide, a book by French sociologist Émile Durkheim. He found that crime is not so much a violation of a penal code as it is an act that outrages society. He was the first to suggest that deviant labeling satisfies that function and satisfies society's need to control the behavior. As a contributor to American Pragmatism and later a member of the Chicago School, George Herbert Mead posited that the self is socially constructed and reconstructed through the interactions which each person has with the community. The labeling theory suggests that people obtain labels from how others view their tendencies or behaviors. Each individual is aware of how they are judged by others because he or she has attempted many different roles and functions in social interactions and has been able to gauge the reactions of those present. This theoretically builds a subjective conception of the self, but as others intrude into the reality of that individual's life, this represents objective data which may require a re-evaluation of that conception depending on the authoritativeness of the others' judgment. Family and friends may judge differently from random strangers. More socially representative individuals such as police officers or judges may be able to make more globally respected judgments. If deviance is a failure to conform to the rules observed by most of the group, the reaction of the group is to label the person as having offended against their social or moral norms of behavior. This is the power of the group: to designate breaches of their rules as deviant and to treat the person differently depending on the seriousness of the breach. The more differential the treatment, the more the individual's self-image is affected. Labeling theory concerns itself mostly not with the normal roles that define our lives, but with those very special roles that society provides for deviant behavior, called deviant roles, stigmatic roles, or social stigma. A social role is a set of expectations we have about a behavior. Social roles are necessary for the organization and functioning of any society or group. We expect the postman, for example, to adhere to certain fixed rules about how he does his job. "Deviance" for a sociologist does not mean morally wrong, but rather behavior that is condemned by society. Deviant behavior can include both criminal and non-criminal activities. Investigators found that deviant roles powerfully affect how we perceive those who are assigned those roles. They also affect how the deviant actor perceives himself and his relationship to society. The deviant roles and the labels attached to them function as a form of social stigma. Always inherent in the deviant role is the attribution of some form of "pollution" or difference that marks the labeled person as different from others. Society uses these stigmatic roles to them to control and limit deviant behavior: "If you proceed in this behavior, you will become a member of that group of people." Whether a breach of a given rule will be stigmatized will depend on the significance of the moral or other tenet it represents. For example, adultery may be considered a breach of an informal rule or it may be criminalized depending on the status of marriage, morality, and religion within the community. In most Western countries, adultery is not a crime. Attaching the label "adulterer" may have some unfortunate consequences but they are not generally severe. But in some Islamic countries, zina is a crime and proof of extramarital activity may lead to severe consequences for all concerned. Stigma is usually the result of laws enacted against the behavior. Laws protecting slavery or outlawing homosexuality, for instance, will over time form deviant roles connected with those behaviors. Those who are assigned those roles will be seen as less human and reliable. Deviant roles are the sources of negative stereotypes, which tend to support society's disapproval of the behavior.

If You See THIS Label On the Fruit Do Not Buy It at Any Cost!! This Is Why:

03:14
Most of us don’t know that the stickers attached to the fruits and vegetables, are there for more than just scanning the price. The PLU code, or the Price Lookup Number on the sticker, can help you determine if the product is genetically modified, organic, or produced with chemical fertilizers, fungicides or herbicides. A four-digit code beginning with a 3, or a 4 means the produce is probably conventionally grown. The last digits of the code represent the kind of the fruit, or vegetable you are buying. For example, bananas are labeled with the code of 4-0-1-1. A five-digit code that starts with a "8", means the product is genetically modified. The label on genetically modified tomato would contain the number 8-4-8-0-5. A five-digit code that starts with a "9", means the product is organic. Organic bananas are labeled as 9-4-0-1-1. EWG, the Environmental Working Group, analyzed pesticide residue testing data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and FDA, to come up with rankings for these popular fresh produce items. The EWG notes that 99% of apples, 98% of peaches, and 97% of nectarines, all tested positive for at least one pesticide residue, while the average white potato had more pesticides by weight than any other produce! The following foods have very high pesticide loads, and should always be purchased organic, or grow yourself! Apples, Celery, Cherry Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Grapes, Hot Peppers, Nectarines, Peaches, Potatoes, Spinach, Strawberries, Sweet Bell Peppers, Kale or Collard Greens, and Summer Squash. The following foods were found by EWG to be relatively low in pesticide residue. They may be good conventional options for those on a budget. Asparagus, Avocados, Cabbage, Cantaloupe, Non-GMO Sweet Corn, Eggplant, Grapefruit, Kiwi, Mangoes, Mushrooms, Onions, Non-GMO Papayas, Pineapples, Sweet Peas and Sweet Potatoes. The Environmental Protection Agency warns that the consumption of pesticides can lead to health problems such as, birth defects, nerve damage, cancer, and other effects that might occur over a long period of time. Children are especially at risk of harm from pesticides. Therefore, please consume organic or conventional grown or self-grown fruits and vegetables. https://youtu.be/58Z-nOA1_Iw

What is ENERGY INPUT LABELING? What does ENERGY INPUT LABELING mean? ENERGY INPUT LABELING meaning

What is ENERGY INPUT LABELING? What does ENERGY INPUT LABELING mean? ENERGY INPUT LABELING meaning - ENERGY INPUT LABELING definition - ENERGY INPUT LABELING explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ The term energy input labeling involved producers of goods and services determining how much energy is used to produce their product, and then including that information on their product packaging. Energy input labeling is sometimes known by the acronym EIL. Energy input labeling provides the advantage of knowing how much energy was used to produce a product, but it does not indicate how much energy a product uses to operate, such as the European Union energy label or the Energy rating label used in Australia and New Zealand, and is not in itself a standard for energy efficiency such as Energy Saving Trust Recommended or Energy Star. Energy input labeling originated as a project by several energy and economics activists to explore energy accounting. Energy input labeling is intended to be easy for producers to implement, At minimum, they can report and label the energy used by their firm to produce products, which is called "Energy Inputs Added", some sometimes merely "Energy Added." If a firm is able to also account for all of the energy imputed by its suppliers, then a firm can report and label "Total Energy Inputs" or "Total Energy", but this is rare. Energy Input Labeling is being used and further developed by the European Organization for Sustainability.

What Does "Organic" and "Natural" Mean in the U.S.?

03:33
If you live in the US you've probably seen different sections in the grocery store for organic and conventional foods. So what is the difference? What most people understand organic to mean is food produced without the use of any synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. The opposite of that is conventionally produced food, which uses all kinds of substances to artificially boost production. But really, the definition of organic goes way beyond pesticides and fertilizers. When you see an organic food label in the US, it means that the food is not irradiated, genetically modified, does not have artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. If the product is from animals, an organic label means the product does not have any hormones, antibiotics and the animal was not raised in a cage. There are also requirements for how organic produce is grown such as how the soil is treated, how pests and diseases are dealt with, what types of seeds and seedlings can be used and how the food is handled. For livestock with the organic label they have to be fed only organic feed, have access to the out of doors, clean water, sunlight and the ability to move freely. This is no the same as free range however, or the term grass fed, or cage free. You may have noticed that some labels say "organic" while others say "100% Organic" or "Made with Organic Ingredients." The different labels relate to the different percentages of organic ingredients. So obviously if something says it is 100% organic, then all its ingredients have to be organic, but if it just says "Organic", up to 5% by weight of the ingredients could be non-organic. For example if a loaf of bread is made with organic flour, but uses baking powder, which is not organic, then it could still be labeled organic. The only requirement for the remaining 5%is that it can't be genetically modified. For food that says "Made with Organic Ingredients, that means that 70% of the ingredients are Organic. Now, even if some ingredients under the organic label aren't organic, they still have to be on a list of approved ingredients by the FDA, and the producer has to prove that there is no commercially available organic alternative. The certification for a farm to be organic can take up to three years and thousands of dollars. As you can imagine, not all farms can afford that, especially since a producer can't sell at the organic while it's in the process of being certified. This means that while the stall at your local farmers market may not be able to say they are certified organic, they may be more qualified for the label than ones that are certified. The other health label that you probably see often is "All Natural" or "Natural". This word actually isn't regulated unless it is put on eggs or meat. In that case the USDA says it means "minimally processed and containing no artificial ingredients." What minimally processed means I guess is open to interpretation, but it doesn't really matter on things like peanut butter or fruit because it isn't regulated anyways. As you can imagine, this has made a lot of people frustrated that the all natural products they choose aren't necessarily any better for them than conventional products. When we go to the grocery store we can be overwhelmed with all the choices but the one thing we don't have is a transparent production trail. Unless it's a farmers market , we are so disconnected from the place, people, animals and plants that make the food that we have to rely heavily on labels. While it's good that the organic certification exists, are the companies that produce organic doing it for the right reasons, or are they just trying to make more money? Will knowing what makes a food product organic change your buying habits? Let me know what you think in the comments section below and thanks for watching. Class 12 Business Studies Chapter 11 Labeling - Marketing Mix

05:21
3) Labelling: Means putting identification marks on the package. Label is the carrier of information. It provides information like name of the product, name of the manufacturer, contents of products, expiry and manufacturing date, general instructions for use, weight, price, etc. Labels are attached in a simple tag form as in case of local products like rice, pulses, etc. and there are labels in elaborate form used by reputed companies. They are very attractive and give complete information about product to consumer. The functions of label are as follows: a. Describe the product and specify its contents – it is difficult for the producer to communicate personally with all the customers, so if he wants to communicate and share information about the product it is done through labels. He prints all the information on the product such as price, contents, directions to use, etc. b. Identifying the product is easy – label helps the customers to identify the product from the various other products, for example we can easily identify sunsilk shampoo from the other shampoos kept on the shelf by the color of its bottle. c. Grading is possible – We can categorize the products in different gradings such as brook bond red label, green label, yellow label, etc. d. Promotes s ale – if labels are attractive and colorful, they excite customers to buy the product, specially consumer goods and it helps in increasing sales volume. e. Providing information by law or legal requirement – it is compulsory for the companies to write batch no, contents, max price, retail price, weight or volume on all the products. Statutory warning is also necessary on certain products such as cigarette – injurious to health.

What is LABEL PRINTER APPLICATOR? What does LABEL PRINTER APPLICATOR mean?

What is LABEL PRINTER APPLICATOR? What does LABEL PRINTER APPLICATOR mean? LABEL PRINTER APPLICATOR meaning - LABEL PRINTER APPLICATOR definition - LABEL PRINTER APPLICATOR explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ Label printer applicators are basic robots that automatically print and apply pressure-sensitive labels to various products. Some types of labeling include shipping labeling, content labeling, graphic images, and labeling to comply with specific standards such as those of GS1 and Universal Product Code U.P.C. A pressure-sensitive label consists of a label substrate and adhesive. First developed in the late 1970s, today there are over 70 manufacturers of these types of machines worldwide. Basic label printer applicators consist of three primary parts: a printer, or print engine, an applicator and a method to handle label and ribbons, referred to as media. Computing power also has the potential to increase the efficiency of label printer applicators. The print engine can be taken from an industrial table top printer, it can be a specifically designed module that can be "bolted" onto an applicator or it can be a proprietary element constructed by the printer applicator manufacturer. A print engine’s primary function is to accept data from a computer and print the data onto a label for application. This printing can be accomplished using either the direct thermal method or the thermal transfer method. Both methods heat up very fine elements (up to 600 per inch) on a print head. Direct thermal burns the image onto the face of specially designed label stock. This is the preferred method for shipping labels and is also very popular in Europe. The thermal transfer process utilizes a ribbon coated with wax, resin, or a hybrid of the two. It is then heated and melted onto the surface of the label substrate. Thermal transfer is the most popular method in the United States. The printer knows what to print via data communication from an outside software package, much like common inkjet printers. The software delivers data formatted in a specific layout and the printer reads the format based on its own driver. The applicator section delivers the label to the product. This can be accomplished by several methods. Typically application is achieved with a pneumatic or electric cylinder with a specially designed label pad. The cylinder will extend out and touch (tamp) the adhesive side of the label to a product. Variations of this method will extend the cylinder and then use air to blow the label to the product surface (tamp-blow]). Another popular method is a blow-on system that will use a burst of air to deliver the label from the pad to the product surface without the use of a cylinder. Other methods can be used to wipe a label onto a surface, or even place two duplicate or unique labels on different sides of a product. Media handling controls how the label stock is delivered to the print engine. It also performs the separation of the label from its backing and rewinds the waste label backing that remains after label application. This process can be difficult since consistent tension must be maintained for the label to peel off the liner and onto the applicator. Too much tension can cause the liner to break, which requires the machine to be rethreaded. Today, a fourth element to label printer applicators is emerging: computing power. Recently label printer applicators have been introduced which have the power to store large amounts of data. These machines can also control and harvest data from other input devices such as barcode scanners and weighing scales. These printer applicators can be programmed with special languages such as Fingerprint designed by Intermec for Intermec print engines or MCL (Macro Command Language), a Datamax programming language. Now label printer applicators can communicate directly with an array of devices and hosts on the production line without the aid of a computer.
