Record 30,203ft (Above Sea Level) flight - 1,174ft higher than Mount Everest

45:57
The plane launched at a starting point of 643ft (ASL - above sea level) and climbed an additional 9010m or 29,560ft (AGL - above ground level) at 35:38 in the video. So, the total (ASL - above sea level) height is: 643ft + 29,560ft = 30,203ft. Since Mount Everest is 29,029ft (ASL - above sea level), the plane flew 1,174ft higher than the Earth's highest (ASL - above sea level) mountain in the world. The temp. reading shown in the OSD (upper left corner) is an internal ambient temp gauge inside the foam insulated plane and within the GPS/MAG sensor. The GPS unit is velcro'd directly on top of the AP controller inside the plane. The actual outside temp at ~9000m altitude is estimated to be -36deg C or -32.8deg F while it was 89 deg F on the ground. - Mini Talon (modified to 1420mm wing span) CG set at 55mm from the leading edge Wing span (stock): 1300mm Wing span (w/wing extensions): 1420mm Wing area (stock): 30 dm^2 Wing area (w/wing extensions): 32.79 dm^2 - AUW: 2142g - (2) Wing extensions measured 58.58mm wide ea. - 500mm long main spar (replaced the stock 385mm long main spar) - (2) Multistar 5200mah 4S Lipos (10,400mah total) - (2) AER7234/46 Aeronaut folding props 12 x 6.5 (the props come in a package of two) - Cobra 2820/14 840Kv Motor - Cobra 60A ESC (the green stripe) w/6A BEC (not used) - Hitec HS-65MG Mighty Metal Gear "Analog" Servos - DragonLink V3 UHF - 1.2Ghz 800mW Vtx - Castle Creations 10Amp BEC - Runcam Swift 1 - Runcam HD2 (stopped working at 7327m on the ascent) Please feel free to download any of my 3D print designs for your radio control FPV needs @ https://www.thingiverse.com/JCatRC/about

Mount Everest Isn't The World's Tallest Mountain

02:18
If you measure from base to summit, Mount Everest is actually the world's second tallest mountain. The first is Mauna Kea—a one million-year-old dormant volcano in Hawaii. The peak of Mauna Kea is only 13,802 feet above sea level, but its base spreads deep down into the ocean. In total, the mountain is 33,500 feet tall. Mount Everest climbs only 29,029 feet. Travelling to the HIGHEST PEAK on Earth

05:09
29,035ft – Mount Everest Nepal is home Mount Everest, the Earth’s highest point – and to put into perspective just how high it stands, consider that commercial aeroplanes fly at a height of 30,000 – 35,000 ft. Every year, hundreds of adventurers attempt the dangerous feat of reaching the summit of the world’s highest mountain. Although more than 4,000 people have conquered the mountain since Sir Edmund and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay first reached the summit in 1953, around 250 people have died in the attempt. 26,000 ft – Death Zone Known as the ‘death zone’ after 26,000 ft above sea level, oxygen levels are insufficient to sustain human life. That’s why mountain climbers must carry oxygen tanks with them when they climb high peaks like Mount Everest. Music Source: Youtube Audio Library Music Title: King's Men by Biz Baz Studio

THE BIGGEST VOLCANOES In The World

10:02
Meet the top 10 biggest and most dangerous volcanoes in the world. Here the summary of the list -Mauna Loa, Hawaii And, evidently, if we want to talk about volcanoes we can’t stop mentioning Hawaii, and it’s because Mauna Loa, which in Hawaiian means “large mountain”, is one of the five volcanoes that conform it. -Tamu Massif Unlike most of the volcanoes in this top, this is located under the Pacific Ocean at the east of Japan, it’s worth mentioning it has a height of 14620 feet tall and it’s considered as the biggest volcano ever discovered. -Black Mountain, México Returning to the ground, in Puebla, Mexico, we find another volcano with more than 15026 feet above the sea level. -Nevado del Ruiz, Colombia Getting closer to the first place, we encounter a volcano placed in the center of Colombia, at a height of 17457 feet above the sea level. One of its characteristics is its geological formation, which is covered mostly by glacier. -Ojos del Salado, Chile - Argentina And in the first place, we find the heights volcano reaching 22910 feet above the sea level, measurement that qualifies it not only as the highest volcano in the world but also as the second highest summit of the whole occident. -Mount Mazama Oregon, USA To start this top, we have to warn you about this volcano’s dimensions, which are unimaginable. It has 8156 feet in height, this volcano is not so visible because the main attraction from this area is the beautiful landscape which has big lake. -Paricutín, México This volcano is placed in Michoacan, Mexico and it’s considered as one of the World’s natural wonders, also it’s known as the youngest from the American continent because it was formed in 1943. -Mount Tambora, Indonesia This volcano is placed in Sumbawa, Indonesia and reaches 9350 feet above the sea levels. Besides its height, this huge wonder has the title for the biggest volcanic eruption ever registered. -Mount Etna, Sicilia, Italia Now, we go straight to Sicilia, Italy, to meet this amazing volcano that reaches a height of 10925 feet above the sea level, characteristic that makes this the highest active volcano all around the Eurasian plaque. -Ichinsky, Russia Situated in one of the coldest countries, we find this enormous geographic construction. It’s obviously located in Russia, to the far east of the Kamchatka’s peninsula to be exact. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- About Us: Trend Max is an education and entertainment channel dedicated to creating interesting Tops, Lists and more. If you enjoy my content, please follow me on: Website - http://7topmost.com Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/7topmost Twitter - https://twitter.com/7topmost Description: Mauna Kea Everest is 8,848m (shown as x) above sea level. Mauna Kea is 4,205m (shown as y) above sea level. Everest is considered to be the world's tallest mountain as its peak is the highest point above sea level on the earth's surface. Almost half of Mauna Kea is below the surface of the ocean. From base to summit Mauna Kea measures 10,200m(shown as z) which makes it taller than Everest. K2 For a few weeks every year it actually becomes taller than Mount Everest In the winter the mountain gets covered in a ridiculous amount of snow, which means that it is able to surpass its taller cousin. Chimborazo The earth is thicker around the equator than the poles. Chimborazo, an inactive Volcano in the Andes is located near the equator than Mount Everest. The summit of Chimborazo is the point on the earth's surface that is furthest away from its center. Making it the tallest mountain on earth. Olympus Mons Olympus Mons on Mars is three times taller than Mount Everest. It the largest known mountain in the solar system. Vesta In the Main Asteroid Belt between Mars and Jupiter is a large asteroid Vesta A giant mountain, three times taller than Earth's highest peak, graces the southern polar region of Vesta. The mountain is pictured in the center of this image. Mount McKinley Mount McKinley is the highest mountain peak in North America, with a summit elevation of 6,168 m above sea level. It is the largest of any mountain entirely above sea level. McKinley rises from a sloping plain with elevations from 300 to 900 m, for a base-to-peak height of 5,000 to 6,000 m. Mount Everest, on the other hand, rises from the Tibetan Plateau, which is at a much higher base elevation. Iapetus Iapetus is a satellite of Saturn. It has an equatorial ridge that runs about halfway around it and gives Iapetus a walnut-like appearance. The ridge is about 1,300 km long, 20 km wide, 13 km high. Peaks in the ridge rise more than 20 km above the surrounding plains. Content source: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1c0CU_QLj4JgyeT3nRgcswV6yTZVIJCl9dWSlOW06HCM/edit?usp=sharing

Highest Mountain In The World | Top 10 Mountain

04:39
Highest Mountain In The World | Top 10 Mountain 1) Mount Everest As we've already said, and as you already knew, Mount Everest is the world's highest mountain. Its peak is an eye-watering 8,848 metres above sea level, making it well over eight times taller than the highest mountain in Wales (Snowdon, at 1,085 metres above sea level). 2) K2 Who remembers the film Vertical Limit? It came out in the year 2000 and starred Chris O'Donnell, Bill Paxton, Robin Tunney and Scott Glenn. Anyone? Well, anyway, it was set on K2 (the world's second highest mountain). 3) Kangchenjunga Kangchenjunga is a mountain that's impossible to pronounce after a full crate of beers. It's also, perhaps more importantly than that, the third highest mountain in the world. It sits on the border between Nepal and India, and has an elevation of 8,586 metres. 4) Lhotse Just missing out on a medal, and a spot on the podium, is Lhotse. Lhotse, elevation - 8,516 metres, is the fourth highest mountain in the world. It neighbours Mount Everest, and forms part of the Everest massif. The summit of Lhotse is on the border between the Khumbu region of Nepal and Tibet. It was first climbed to in 1956 when a Swiss team made up of Ernst Reiss and Fritz Luchsinger did the business. 5) Makalu With an elevation of 8,485m, Makalu is officially the fifth highest mountain in the world. Situated 19km southeast of Everest, on the border between Nepal and China, Makalu is notable for its summit's iconic pyramid shape. Makalu was first summited in 1955 by Lionel Terray and Jean Couzy, who made up part of a French expedition. 6) Cho Oyu One mountain down the height list from Makalu, but at the opposite end of the difficulty spectrum, is Cho Oyu. While it's anything but a casual walk in the park, its elevation is an intimidating 8,188 metres after all, Cho Oyu is seen by many to be the "easiest" of the plus-8,000m mountains to climb due to its accessibility and generally moderate slopes. 7) Dhaulagiri With an elevation of 8,167 metres, Dhaulagiri is the seventh highest mountain in the world. It's located in Nepal, and was first summited in 1960 by a combined Swiss/Austrian/Nepalese effort. 8) Manaslu Coming in at number eight on the list of the all-time highest mountains is Manaslu. Manaslu can be found in the west-central part of Nepal, and has a summit that's situated 8,163m above sea level. 9) Nanga Parbat Nanga Parbat is the ninth highest mountain in the world. Its summit is 8,126 metres above sea level. The mountain is situated in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan. It resides at the westernmost point of the Himalayas and is also the furthest west of all the world's eight thousand metre peaks. 10) Annapurna Rounding off this list of the world's top 10 highest mountains is Annapurna. Technically speaking Annapurna is actually a massif in the Himalayas, comprising of 30 mountains over 6,000 metres. For the purposes of this article though, rest assured that whenever we say "Annapurna" we're in fact referring to the only mountain in the massif with an elevation above 8,000 metres (Annapurna I - 8,091m). How High Is Everything

01:13
1. Mount Everest, also known in Nepal as Sagarmāthā and in China as Chomolungma/珠穆朗玛峰, is Earth's highest mountain. Its peak is 8,848 metres above sea level 2. The tallest artificial structure is Burj Khalifa, a skyscraper in Dubai that reached 829.8 m 3. On August 30, 2006 Steve Fossett and Einar Enevoldson, the pilots of Perlan Mission I, broke the existing altitude record for gliders by soaring up to 50,671 feet (15,460m) in a standard glider using stratospheric waves of air. 4. On November 26, 2005 Vijaypat Singhania set the world altitude record for highest hot air balloon flight, reaching 21,027 m 5. High-altitude balloons are unmanned balloons, usually filled with helium or hydrogen and rarely methane, that are released into the stratosphere, generally attaining between 60,000 to 120,000 ft (11 to 23 mi; 18 to 37 km). In 2002, a balloon named BU60-1 attained 53.0 km 6. Cirrocumulus - they are the highest clouds in Earth's atmosphere, located in the mesosphere at altitudes of around 76 to 85 kilometres (47 to 53 mi). They are normally too faint to be seen, and are visible only when illuminated by sunlight from below the horizon while the lower layers of the atmosphere are in the Earth's shadow. 7. The Earth's atmosphere is a thin layer of gases that surrounds the Earth. It composed of 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, 0.9% argon, 0.03% carbon dioxide, and trace amounts of other gases. This thin gaseous layer insulates the Earth from extreme temperatures; it keeps heat inside the atmosphere and it also blocks the Earth from much of the Sun's incoming ultraviolet radiation. The Earth's atmosphere is about 300 miles (480 km) thick, but most of the atmosphere (about 80%) is within 10 miles (16 km) of the surface of the Earth. There is no exact place where the atmosphere ends; it just gets thinner and thinner, until it merges with outer space. 8. High Earth Orbit. Second tallest mountain of the world k2 Pakistan mountain full documentary in Urdu

03:47
K2 (Urdu: کے ٹو ‎), also known as Mount Godwin-Austen or Chhogori (Balti and Urdu: چھوغوری‎),is the second highest mountain in the world, after Mount Everest, at 8,611 metres (28,251 ft) above sea level. It is located on the China-Pakistan border between Baltistan, in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of northern Pakistan, and the Taxkorgan Tajik Autonomous County of Xinjiang, China. K2 is the highest point of the Karakoram range and the highest point in both Pakistan and Xinjiang. K2 is known as the Savage Mountain due to the extreme difficulty of ascent. It has the second-highest fatality rate among the eight thousanders. With around 300 successful summits and 77 fatalities, about one person dies on the mountain for every four who summit. It is more difficult and hazardous to reach the peak of K2 from the Chinese side, so it is usually climbed from the Pakistani side. Unlike Annapurna, the mountain with the highest fatality-to-summit rate (191 summits and 61 fatalities), or the other eight thousanders, K2 has never been climbed during winter. mount everest view from satellite map in Google Earth Mount Everest Documentary Mount Everest is Earth's highest mountain. It is located in the Mahalangur mountain range in Nepal and Tibet. Its peak is 8,848 metres (29,029 ft) above sea level. The international border between China (Tibet Autonomous Region) and Nepal runs across Everest's precise summit point. Its massif includes neighbouring peaks Lhotse, 8,516 m (27,940 ft); Nuptse, 7,855 m (25,771 ft) and Changtse, 7,580 m (24,870 ft). In 1856, the Great Trigonometrical Survey of India established the first published height of Everest, then known as Peak XV, at 8,840 m (29,002 ft). The current official height of 8,848 m (29,029 ft) as recognized by China and Nepal was established by a 1955 Indian survey and subsequently confirmed by a Chinese survey in 1975. In 2005, China remeasured the height of the mountain and got a result of 8844.43 m. An argument regarding the height between China and Nepal lasted 5 years from 2005 to 2010. China argued it should be measured by its rock height which is 8844 m but Nepal said it should be measured by its snow height 8848 m. In 2010, an agreement was finally reached by both sides that the height of Everest is 8,848 m and Nepal recognizes China's claim that the rock height of Everest is 8,844 m. In 1865, Everest was given its official English name by the Royal Geographical Society upon a recommendation by Andrew Waugh, the British Surveyor General of India. As there appeared to be several different local names, Waugh chose to name the mountain after his predecessor in the post, Sir George Everest, despite George Everest's objections. Mount Everest attracts many climbers, some of them highly experienced mountaineers. There are two main climbing routes: one approaching the summit from the southeast in Nepal (known as the standard route) and the other from the north in Tibet, China. While not posing substantial technical climbing challenges on the standard route, Everest presents dangers such as altitude sickness, weather, wind as well as significant objective hazards from avalanches and the Khumbu Icefall. As of 2016, there are well over 200 corpses still on the mountain, with some of them even serving as landmarks. The first recorded efforts to reach Everest's summit were made by British mountaineers. With Nepal not allowing foreigners into the country at the time, the British made several attempts on the north ridge route from the Tibetan side. After the first reconnaissance expedition by the British in 1921 reached 7,000 m (22,970 ft) on the North Col, the 1922 expedition pushed the North ridge route up to 8,320 m (27,300 ft) marking the first time a human had climbed above 8,000 m (26,247 ft). Tragedy struck on the descent from the North col when seven porters were killed in an avalanche. The 1924 expedition resulted in the greatest mystery on Everest to this day: George Mallory and Andrew Irvine made a final summit attempt on 8 June but never returned, sparking debate as to whether they were the first to reach the top. They had been spotted high on the mountain that day but disappeared in the clouds, never to be seen again, until Mallory's body was found in 1999 at 8,155 m (26,755 ft) on the North face. Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary made the first official ascent of Everest in 1953 using the southeast ridge route. Tenzing had reached 8,595 m (28,199 ft) the previous year as a member of the 1952 Swiss expedition. The Chinese mountaineering team of Wang Fuzhou, Gonpo and Qu Yinhua made the first reported ascent of the peak from the North Ridge on 25 May 1960.

Flying high above the Glass House Mountains, Queensland 2018

07:31
Flying high above the Glass House Mountains Queensland 2018 Sit back relax and grab yourself a beverage and Let's Go on an Adventure! The Glass House Mountains are a group of thirteen hills that rise abruptly from the coastal plain on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. The highest hill is Mount Beerwah at 556 meters above sea level, but the most identifiable of all the hills are Mount Tibrogargan, 364 metres, which from some directions appears to be a face staring out to sea. Mount Ngungun, 253 metres consists of sub-volcanic rock, also known as a hypabyssal rock, an intrusive rock emplaced at medium-to-shallow depths within the crust and has intermediate grain size, and often porphyritic texture between that of volcanic and plutonic rocks. Mount Ngungun and the Glass House Mountains are located near Beerburrum State Forest and Old Gympie Road. From Brisbane, follow the Bruce Highway north, take the Glass House Mountains tourist drive turn-off and follow the signs to the Glass House Mountains. The trip is about one hour and eleven minutes from Brisbane. The Volcanic peaks of the Glass House Mountains rise dramatically from the surrounding Sunshine Coast landscape. They were formed by intrusive plugs, remnants of volcanic activity that occurred 26, 27 million years ago. Molten rock filled small vents or intruded as bodies beneath the surface and solidified into land rocks. Millions of years of erosion have removed the surrounding exteriors of volcanic cores and softer sandstone rock. Whilst the traditional names for the hills themselves are very old, the term 'Glasshouse Mountains' was given more recently by explorer Captain James Cook on 17 May 1770. The peaks reminded him of the glass furnaces in his home county of Yorkshire. Matthew Flinders explored the area and climbed Mount Beerburrum after sailing along Pumicestone Passage in 1799. The Glass House Mountains National Landscape was added to the Australian National Heritage List on 3 August 2006. In the land between the peaks, pineapple and poultry farming, as well as commercial forestry and quarrying are the main land uses. In 2009 as part of the Queensland 150th celebrations, the Glass House Mountains was announced as one of the Q150 Icons of Queensland for its role as a "Natural attraction". The range was formed as molten lava cooled to form hard rock in the cores of volcanoes 26-27 million years ago. The source of the lava was from the East Australian hotspot. The cores of the hills contain columns of comendite from lava which cools quickly into a hard rock. The surrounding softer rocks have been eroded in the subsequent time, forming the spectacular volcanic plugs that remain today. The peaks' location relative to each other exhibits an alignment that is believed to have occurred due to fracturing. Similar to what is currently occurring now in Hawaii. Each of the peaks is protected within the Glass House Mountains National Park. Some of the peaks display vertical columns, particularly Mount Coonowrin, 377 metres, Mount Ngungun, 253 metres and Mount Beerwah, 555 metres at the Organ Pipes. These columns are the result of lava contraction. Scattered throughout the hills are shallow caves which have been formed by wind erosion on rocks that were softened by groundwater. The peaks are culturally significant to the traditional owners, the Gubbi Gubbi people. Under a native title claim, access to the peaks could be restricted as they are considered spiritual places. To the south-east of the Glass House Mountains, the township is an Aboriginal bora ring. The names of each mountain in the range are: Mount Beerburrum 278 metres Mount Beerwah 556 metres Mount Coochin 235 metres Mount Coonowrin or Crookneck or Fake big 377 metres Mount Elimbah or The Saddleback 129 metres Mount Ngungun 253 metres Mount Tibberoowuccum 220 metres Mount Tibrogargan 364 metres Mount Tunbubudla or the Twins 312 and 293 metres Wild Horse Mountain or Round Mountain 123 metres Mount Miketeebumulgrai 199 metres #MyMinajo My Minajo Merchandise: https://streamlabs.com/myminajo/#/merch https://rossminajo3.wixsite.com/myminajo https://www.patreon.com/myminajo https://goo.gl/pw7dvW https://www.tubebuddy.com/MyMinajo https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glass_House_Mountains https://www.visitsunshinecoast.com/Glass-House-Mountains https://www.npsr.qld.gov.au/parks/glass-house-mountains/

Inside Mount Kilimanjaro's Cloud Forest, TANZANIA - 2,700 metres above sea level

00:44
Cloud Forest (Rainforest)on Mount Kilimanjaro, Northern Tanzania, East Africa. 2,700 metres above sea level. Cloud Forest: A cloud forest, also called a fog forest, is a generally tropical or subtropical, evergreen, montane, moist forest characterized by a persistent, frequent or seasonal low-level cloud cover, usually at the canopy level. Cloud forests often exhibit an abundance of mosses covering the ground and vegetation, in which case they are also referred to as mossy forests. Mossy forests usually develop on the saddles of mountains, where moisture introduced by settling clouds is more effectively retained...... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloud_forest TANZANIA: Tanzania /ˌtænzəˈniːə/,[12] officially the United Republic of Tanzania (Swahili: Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania), is a country in Eastern Africa within the African Great Lakes region. Parts of the country are in Southern Africa. It is bordered by Kenya and Uganda to the north; Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west; Zambia, Malawi, and Mozambique to the south; and by the Indian Ocean to the east. Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain, is in northeastern Tanzania. Tanzania's population of 51.82 million (2014)[13] is diverse, composed of several ethnic, linguistic, and religious groups. Tanzania is a presidential constitutional republic, and since 1996, its official capital city has been Dodoma, where the President's Office, the National Assembly, and some government ministries are located.[14] Dar es Salaam, the former capital, retains most government offices and is the country's largest city, principal port, and leading commercial centre.[15][16][17].. Prehistoric population migrations include Southern Cushitic speakers, who are ancestral to the Iraqw, Gorowa, and Burunge and who moved south from Ethiopia into Tanzania.[19] Based on linguistic evidence, there may also have been two movements into Tanzania of Eastern Cushitic people at about 4,000 and 2,000 years ago, originating from north of Lake Turkana.[19] Archaeological evidence supports the conclusion that Southern Nilotes, including the Datoog, moved south from the present-day South Sudan-Ethiopia border region into central northern Tanzania between 2,900 and 2,400 years ago.[19]:page 18 These movements took place at about the same time as the settlement of the iron-making Mashariki Bantu from West Africa in the Lake Victoria and Lake Tanganyika areas. They brought with them the west African planting tradition and the primary staple of yams. They subsequently migrated out of these regions across the rest of Tanzania, between 2,300 and 1,700 years ago.[19][20] European colonialism began in mainland Tanzania during the late 19th century when Germany formed German East Africa, which gave way to British rule following World War I. The mainland was governed as Tanganyika, with the Zanzibar Archipelago remaining a separate colonial jurisdiction. Following their respective independence in 1961 and 1963, the two entities merged in April 1964 to form the United Republic of Tanzania.[15]... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanzania United States: The United States of America (USA), commonly known as the United States (U.S.) or America (/əˈmɛrɪkə/), is a federal republic[16][17] composed of 50 states, a federal district, five major self-governing territories, and various possessions.[fn 6] Forty-eight states and the federal district are contiguous and located in North America between Canada and Mexico. 01:52
Nanga Parbat (Urdu: نانگا پربت) is the ninth highest mountain in the world at 8,126 metres (26,660 ft) above sea level. It is the western anchor of the Himalayas around which the Indus river skirts into the plains of Pakistan. It is located in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan and is locally known as Diamir or Deo Mir (deo meaning "huge" and mir meaning "mountain"). Nanga Parbat is in the west of the Himalayas, and is the most western of the mountains higher than eight thousand meters. It lies just south of the Indus River, in the Astore District of the Northern Areas in the region of Kashmir. Nanga Parbat is one of the eight-thousanders, with a summit elevation of 8,126 metres (26,660 ft). An immense, dramatic peak rising far above its surrounding terrain, Nanga Parbat is also a notoriously difficult climb. Numerous mountaineering deaths in the mid and early 20th century lent it the nickname "killer mountain". + For this Info: https://plus.google.com/105268588753239162075 Nanga Parbat is one of only two peaks on Earth that rank in the top twenty of both the highest mountains in the world, and the most prominent peaks in the world, ranking ninth and fourteenth respectively. The other is Mount Everest, which is first on both lists. It is also the second most prominent peak of the Himalayas, after Mount Everest. The key col for Nanga Parbat is Zoji La in Kashmir, which connects it to higher peaks in the remaining Himalaya-Karakoram range.
