Why do women play mind games? It's infuriating!
I heard a guy wish he was a Vulcan from Star Trek, able to do a mind meld and understand exactly what it was a woman was thinking.
I don't have to understand her every whim. Actually, the ever changing kaleidoscope of her mind might actually drive me insane.
What men think of as mind games is often a failure to communicate. Women think that they can't ask for something directly, so they hint at it a lot.
And then what?
Guys rarely get hints, so she gets mad that he didn't do what she hinted at.
And he thinks she's playing mind games.
Women need to realize guys are simple creatures, and instead of expecting them to decode modern conversations and activities like a detective novel or modern literature tome - say what they want or need outright.
So a lot of mind games are actually a failure to communicate.
You can say that again.
That's so ironic, given how much women talk.
The average woman does say about three times as many words as a guy.
And guys tend to tune it out.
Guys would probably understand women more if the girls said, "This is what I want for my birthday" or "I want to go out to this place for dinner". Dropping hints in long conversations guys tend to tune out guarantees most of them will be missed.
And then they get mad the guys missed something.
Guys do need to set aside time for serious conversations, like money and planning for events. Then they give their full attention to serious matters, instead of a woman chatting about her day for an hour before asking him to help her with the budget.
And he doesn't budge it off the couch.
And she gets mad he didn't take her request to help pay the bills more seriously.
She should have given a verbal turn signal. I'm done emoting, let's get serious.
But remember - talking to her about your day or your feelings does make her feel intimate.
Well, can I just skip to the pillow talk?
