How do you learn a new style?
You don't want to sit through half an hour of me rambling? I get it. Learning a new style is super easy, and there's a few ways of doing it. Joining a school online with the style that you need to learn is the easiest. Just join the school, equip the style, use the style ability (i.e. Avoid with Windfall, Absorb with Kahlt) against an enemy for about half an hour, and once you fill up that sweet blue circle, you'll unlock the style forever, even if you leave the school. Stagger style is one of the few styles that can be grabbed from an NPC, named Rakkio. He's behind a door in the Raslan Coliseum that will open up once you kill Jinn Mesca, an enemy that will only spawn once you hit level 30, in two different locations. Or, you can just find a school online that uses Stagger style and learn it normally, like the others. Alternatively, if you're just missing Kahlt, Winfall, or Forsaken, you can make a new character with the respective style, farm them up to Trial level 50, and make a school. Schools are shared across the entire account. I don't know why you'd spend all that time when you could've just found a school online, but whatever, I'm not bashing you for how you do things.
What's the easiest way to "farm" an enemy to learn a style?
Hop into offline mode so that random players don't run up to you and steal your kill, or worse, attack you. Find an enemy, preferably a weak one. Hit it a couple of times, dropping their health down to a sliver, so that if you mess up, you can kill them pretty easily. Sit there and let them wail on you, keeping your guard up. Learn their moveset. And then, when you think you have it nailed down, drop your guard and use your style's ability against them. Avoid, if you're using Windfall, Absorb, if you're using Kahlt, etc. The one problem with this method is if you're learning Stagger style, because all of their abilities chain into an attack. So you'll need to either find another who will let you beat on them, and let them heal so that you can repeat the process until you learn it, or travel from enemy to enemy in offline mode, and use the abilities as much as physically possible to learn it as fast as you can. I don't remember Stagger style being that hard, so maybe I'm overrating the experience.
What about Faejin? How do I unlock the new style?
Faejin is unique in that you HAVE to hit Gleam level 6 in the Downfall expansion in order to unlock it. You should totally do it though. It's awesome.
In the new Downfall expansion, accessed through the Combat Trial menu, (trust me, I learned that the hard way) you'll run through randomly generated "dungeons", filled with new and horrifying enemies! Kill them, and you'll be granted a new form of currency called "Gleam". This will unlock new shop items, access to further dungeon paths, and eventually, at level 6, you'll unlock the new Faejin style. The dungeons are also the easiest way to farm the new Faejin moves, so get used to running them if you intend to grab all the new moves. Have fun on those bosses...
Why do you recommend starting with Kahlt?
Two reasons, first off, it's much easier to use than the other styles, not requiring any direction input at all. You just flick the stick, and you'll absorb an attack, no matter what direction it's coming from. Secondly, it's annoying to learn later, due to you having to take the damage before you can heal it back. It makes farming a single enemy for the style pretty difficult.
