Thanks. This video really shoulndn't have been posted without this fundamental step. Also position: absolute; in my browser results in overlapping text, whereas position: relative; is correct. I'm suspicious this poster doesn't have knowledge / cares enough to properly do his videos. Perhaps the next in series will prove me wrong.

You left out that you need to link the CSS to the HTML doc.. it took me forever to figure out how to do this but otherwise 10/10 tutorials so far.

i think the Google CSS style guide recommends the second style with the properties and values on separate lines, if i recall correctly. It's much cleaner and clearer.

very good tutorials. i have found them to be very useful. i took the css positioning tutorials. it was so good and i figure, i will just quickly refresh your basic CSS before heading to the response web design tutorials. I subbed and you have a new ninja recruit. cheers mate

+marc owen Thanks, I appreciate it :). Yeah I'm new on here, but have quite a lot of tuts recorded ready for uploading so stay tuned. I'm using an editor called Brackets - http://brackets.io/ - it's a really cool and free editor by Adobe.
