the reason why you shouldn't wash your jeans because your jeans age they are will denim they are made material wall denim 100% organic cotton most of all my denims are organic 100% cotton either made in Japan or made in Italy if they are made in Japan they have been made a 1800 traditional style of stitching and so that's why when you wear them they age that's why you don't try not to wash them and preserve them from like a mother to just for the where you don't doesn't mean you have to wear them everyday but you preserve them you have to preserve them somewhere and that kind of like kills back to will you put them in the refrigerator for you spray certain things on them just to kill the bacteria that's all that when you wear your jeans you're not wearing these type of jeans to go do dirty work in a Visa like going out jeans because they are very expensive you know some of my Jean's could go up to $1,000
Andrew Tongue (24 days ago)
That's the whole point of washing - they fade perfectly. I wouldn't want to be within a mile of any individual who employs alcohol/refrigeration to cessate the proliferation of bacteria. That's just foul; it also begs the question as to the personal hygiene of Levi's CEO. No thanks.
My dad has been using the same pair of jeans for a decade, he washes them once a week

Wash it like you just don't care, it doesn't matter but if the color fade just dye them with a good amount of salt. The salt will help set the dye

Levi's material is thin and shitty for the last few years, they just don't want people washing their product because it falls apart due to their cost cutting. I have jeans from the early 90s that must have been washed at last 200 times and they are still in decent condition. Lee and Levi's I've gotten off Amazon the ass is tearing and the knees bugging out within six months. Last pair I bought didn't even have the zipper completely attached. I guess Levi's CEO doesn't sweat and washing his ass with water thoroughly every time he craps.

What happens if you have an accident like diarrhea 😏 do you wash your Jean's or let it hang outside to dry

mark rush (2 months ago)
the ceo of levis said in another interview not to put jeans in the freezer.....wash your jeans people...stop being nasty....i dont wash mine after every time i wear them but if i have them on all day in the heat and humidity you bet l wash them. i have about 100 pairs of jeans of all brands and they all have washing instructions on the tags.
Why the hell would you have 100 pairs of jeans?
Dan Aplet (2 months ago)
Thats stupid and why would they even say that? For the more you wash them faster wear them out to buy more. Why would you go to that much trouble to keep them from smelling when washing does the job?
Chris Coleman (2 months ago)
I will admit. I was my jeans once a week. But i work in them. Anything more than a week is dumb
That's a pretty dumb comment. Everyone gets their pants dirty at the same rate you do?
Robert Godby (2 months ago)
Levi's don't want you to wash your jeans anymore because they fall apart in washing machine. Wear Carharts.
Ryan Jonas (2 months ago)
Officer I swear. It's my Jeans that smell like vodka! ABC news told me to do it!
Joe Smith (2 months ago)

Bud Stephens (2 months ago)
They used to be the go to Jean , then a few years ago they dropped the Jean for the common man and started marketing to the “HIP”. Crowd so fuck um
Bill Beliakoff (2 months ago)
This makes sense if you think about it. Back when Levi's first came out washing machines and freezers weren't around. So it was probably just rinse them in creek and hang to dry. And I'm sure they lasted a long time.
#1, if you freeze your pants, you're a dumbass. #2, people have been washing clothes long before washing machines were around. Soap+water+washboard. Pretty simple...
Marco Evans (2 months ago)
..lol, and that's why i won't date you.

**works outside on our farm daily, where it's completely normal to end up with my jeans caked in mud and shit** I'm sorry.. but I have a hard time taking advice from folks who haven't actually been dirty in quite a while.. besides.. if my jeans start falling appart and or the color washes out.. who cares.. the grungier the better

CEO of Levi’s, PLEASE MAKE THEM LIKE YOU USE TO, I think I speak for all of us, when I say, we don’t mind paying extra for the quality they once were. If you want, you can also keep making these newer ones that don’t survive the wash, for the people that can’t afford the quality well made, heavy duty ones, this is okay, just produce the old ones again, PLEASE;)
Buy from smaller companies that make better quality products and don't support this dumbass then...
Jay Z (2 months ago)
I kind of get their point, I have some Levi's that i've had for about a year, I washed them regularly and now they're really faded.... but what if you get small stains on them from dropping food on them or something like that? Scrape it off, air it off and that's it? I'm guilty of doing that but no more than 3 weeks. A year? Jeez
Just wash your fucking pants and if they wear out, buy new ones. Only a dipshit doesn't ever wash their clothes or puts them in the freezer because that does nothing...
dan thepossum (2 months ago)

Don't even wipe your hinder. Just keep reusing them.
Batman (3 months ago)
that dumbass CEO is stupid asf! i agree washing can definitely destroy the color and fit of the jeans.. but totally not washing it at all?? you’re a walking bacteria dispenser!! itch here and there!!... the best advice is as long as it’s look clean and smells good then you can actually wear it again.. it’s common sense when it looks dirty and smells like a damn cheese then time for the washer.
Kriss Kross (3 months ago)
a CEO is not necessarily an expert on textiles and pathogens --- just a perpetuation of myths.

CEO is nuts, must never have worn Levi's before becoming CEO. I'm 80, and have worn Levi's since a teenager. I'm fit and weigh the same as when I was 18. I wear a clean pair every day, end of the day they go in the laundry hamper, machine wash warm water, clothes dryer to full dry, fold and on the shelf for next use. Can't imagine putting on a dirty pair in the morning. Wonder what Jockey CEO says about Classic Briefs?

Since when is having faded jeans a bad thing? Used to be back in the day you wanted them to fade out a bit and look "broke in". I wear mine 3 or 4 times, depending on what I'm doing in them, then wash in cold water and if I can't hang them up to dry, I dry for one cycle on med heat. keeps shrinkage to a minimum.
