Great.

Michelle Clapton(or anyone affiliated with her)what's Sansa's needle point necklace made of? Did y'all turn brass on a lathe or what? It looks really nifty. I'm curious from an engineering perspective.
Dusty Dust (6 months ago)
I wish people dressed like this now. The Mountain in overalls wielding a greatsword in one hand. How could you not want to submit to that?
Trevor Pate (6 months ago)
5:16 Does anyone think the lion head looks like it came from a mini golf course? I do.

Mail armour, not chain mail. Other than that, good work.

Can someone please give me the name of the song at 14:15

The costumes are what makes this show so goddamn great. Without it the characters wouldn't be authentic, the time and place wouldn't be set, it wouldn't have the same feel of richness of cultures. It is my favorite part. I'm always amazed at the fabric and detail and unique aspect with hints to our own reality, but they still create an entirely new world.
Malena Sander (11 months ago)
Kattunge yeah I know they’re very good and gave the background to the show and details about the characters. „Costume CO“ has very good analysis of the costumes on her channel.
Kev F (1 year ago)
I loooooooooove Lord Petyr baelish's costume, that cloak is fabulous honey yaaaz!! Maybe I'll try to get inspired and make a homemade inspired cloak jacket 🤔...... well winter ❄️ is coming child !!😂😂😂😂
oaklandmurphy (1 year ago)
Man these costumes were so great, what happened to all the colors, now everybody just wears black.

If Equifax could not protect my information for the first time, what makes you think that their fucking service could protect us the second time?
Elsa Frost (1 year ago)
Kudos to the costume designers (and designers overall) in this great tv show! So inspiring <3

Greywind92 (1 year ago)
Someone needs to change the belt in that car they had running while Pedro Pascal was speaking. All that money and they still don't have a working vehicle lol
I'd really love a GoT fashion show
Sansa's necklace looks like a stop sign
Charlie McVey (1 year ago)
chocolate thun-da I'm pretty that's the point
Armando (1 year ago)
I wish they've given the armor of the White Walkers/Others that reflective quality, but I guess that would've been a bitch to do without CGI.
Nikki Morris (1 year ago)
I wish they would this costume, design commentary for each season; I am really interested in the Season 7 one as I thought Dany and Cersei's costumes were amazing as well as the armor that many of the men wore at the Dragon Pit scene. This designer is truly amazing. . .I assume she has won an Emmy or Golden Globe for her work; if not, she deserves it--her integration of the character, the history, and the costumes is amazing!
Lilly Rose (1 year ago)
I wanna know why they all wear black now. I miss the colors.
shizukagozen777 (1 year ago)
Nikki Morris Yeah, I want to know how they made that full fur snow-winter like coat of Daenerys. It was so amazing.

So much work. So many details. Amazing.
Phenomenal Woman (1 year ago)
She's wearing the necklace Sansa wears later on in the season.
shizukagozen777 (1 year ago)
Claudia Franco I'm pretty sure that the one or Sansa is full iron and not flat. So definitely to me it's not the same.
myong2206 (1 year ago)
pedro pascal is SO fine.

The Renly dwarf is riding Loras? Don't you think the Tyrells would be a little offended by that?
Dusty Dust (6 months ago)
You sound so left-wing. 1: The Tyrells are fictional. 2: The scene was orchestrated by Joffrey to offend everyone associated with the other 4 'kings'.
Fatima (1 year ago)
StageLined Productions Stannis was also riding the red woman
TheDragiix3 (1 year ago)
I almost died when I saw it for the first time and noticed Dwarf Renly was riding a fake Loras lmao Joffrey had humor
Jessica (1 year ago)
They were! That whole scene with the dwarves was supposed to be offensive, and it was.
edi (1 year ago)
GoT costumes are awesome (just like in TW3), but what do we wear today? especially for guys, there's not much variations in the cuts and patterns. Even what most girls wear is utterly boring. Worst of all: try to find a decent coat today. In the old days, it provided some mobile shelter against the elements. Today, what you wear makes you completely we and cold and provides very little protection against abrasion etc.
Tamerlein Music (1 year ago)
"They die squatting over chamber pots" I just noticed that foreshadowing.
tim fred (1 year ago)
WOW , what you all do in Game Of Thrones Design and Fabric wise is beyond beautiful.
Cameron Barnes (1 year ago)
great channel name, RIP ser pounce
Liza Zellig (1 year ago)
Did anyone notice how the costume designer lady has a similar round necklace as to the one that sansa has in the last 2 seasons ?
Rachael LeBLanc (1 year ago)
yes! That was my first thought when I saw it!
Doris Eriksson (1 year ago)
Finn called Natalie Dormer 'Natty' that's so cute ^_^
HowSci (1 year ago)
**The customs are ridiculous. Women's clothes are way too revealing for its time, the armors don't seem to work at all. Also, leather armor doesn't protect people, and I don't understand why it is so prevalent in Game of Thrones.**
shizukagozen777 (1 year ago)
HaoSci Uh... Why don't you just shut your mouth because you're really talking shit. 😒
zeezhz (1 year ago)
+OPrincessXJasmineO Yes. That was my argument. I think you might misread something to feel the need telling me that. With the World of Ice and Fire being stuck in a time period that very roughly equals anything between the 8th century up to the 17th century, so an ahistorical dress isn't really the big argument against the show or the books.
HowSci (1 year ago)
I still hope they follow the same physical laws and chemistry, though -- unless it's magic.
OPrincessXJasmineO (1 year ago)
zeezhz what historical authenticity? It's a fictional universe.
HowSci (1 year ago)
I actually have contentions with the concept of fire-breathing dragons on the physiological and basis. But I won't argue about it, because it is assumed that dragons have some magical elements, and magic has existed in the universe, although most people in Westeros believe it doesn’t exist anymore (or it never existed in the first place) until recently. Since the universe is set in the medieval period (with addition of magic and supernatural forces that are largely separate from most part of everyday life), then we should assume that people would behave as if they were in the historical medieval period. That’s why women’s clothings should not be so revealing. As for the gambesons, they don't seem to protect people from cuts or thrusts in the battle scenes. It may be true that G.R.R. Martin’s novels are pretty internally consistent, but the TV show sure doesn’t seem to be. If it is the fashion of the fictional medieval universe that allows women to wear so revealing clothes, it is certainly not stated as such nor explained.

If they sold those dresses and costumes i would buy It... Yo wear them

Jade Lee (1 year ago)
The costume Dany wore when facing the Night King in the most recent episode of GOT was utterly fantastic. A true piece of art
Brent Widener (4 months ago)
When she rides Drogon beyond the wall to save Jon and Co.? Yeah. Cannot agree more. When I first saw it, I gasped. It's almost too good to be true.
Blue Mermaid (1 year ago)
Jade Lee Yes it was! It's my favorite piece along with her dragon necklace she wore in the fighting pits in Mereen! Sansa's white wedding dress is my second favorite costume!
Morna Burton (1 year ago)
Amazing work from the costumer and special effects teams, just beautiful! Thank you!
Mariia Kanarchuk (1 year ago)
The lady costume-artist is incredible. How she thinks of each and every character and their place in story at specific scene. She is a master.

my cousins uncles mums friend sucked off one of the extras from season 5 episode 3.

Hearing Indira Varma (Ellaria) speaking English with an English accent is so strange. I have always thought that the accent in the series is her own, the same of Pedro Pascal (Oberyn). I thought she is also a Spanish speaker.
Leanne Ramnarine (1 year ago)
She is Indian and English.
Kat Beckman (1 year ago)
bet youve never seen a white walker tenderly hold a tiny baby 12:53

White walker holding baby was so cute XD
Myles Han (1 year ago)
at 12:44 you can see them filming the scene where he puts the finger on the baby's face... you can see the actor playing the Night King coo-ing and making baby noises with his mouth to calm the baby hahahaah

By far the best armour is the Blackfish's armour
Relle Wilson (1 year ago)
These guys are amazing great work. I wish Margery Tyrells wedding dress should have been more flashy since the wedding was top dollar, shes marrying the King and shes the daughter of the second riches (first) family
Leanne Ramnarine (1 year ago)
Michele's design for Margery's wedding is super embellished and opulent. It's all in the details.
Blue Mermaid (1 year ago)
Sinvisigoth Margaery's dress was very rich! I'm glad that it wasn't flashy/blingy as we don't see that style anywhere in Westeros! Ellaria was the most stylish, but Margeary was very elegant considering the time period!
Sinvisigoth (1 year ago)
I know what you mean, although I think there was still a richness to it, which shows especially if you can see the dress closer like you can here http://www.michelecarragherembroidery.com/The-Purple-Wedding-Gallery(2969394).htm

how can i get into there costume design team ..
Orbital Drop (1 year ago)
shammy dammy gotta do all that before season 8😬😬
shammy dammy (1 year ago)
You'd probably get started with a degree in costume design, and then find an entry level job/internship in a studio and work your way up from there.
wizzie wizzle (2 years ago)
Amazing how much work goes into this. The costume designers should get more recognition on shows like GOT, where clothing plays such an important role
Blue kid (1 year ago)
Sinvisigoth thanks
Sinvisigoth (1 year ago)
Blue kid you might enjoy the site of the woman who does embroidery for the costumes, Michele Carragher. I was blown away seeing it up close, especially the wildness and intricacy of the costumes for the Children of the Forest. This is her website http://www.michelecarragherembroidery.com/Game-of-Thrones-Gallery(2829575).htm

+Pibito palface it sounds like the old gods and the new , but i can't find this version
EvanSol919 (3 years ago)
Best costumes on TV! My only gripe is that the stones on Sansa's necklace were supposed to be purple not light blue.
Porcelain Ivory Steel (1 year ago)
The prophecy of the Ghost of High Heart also refers to "purple serpents in her [Sansa's] hair". Meaning the hairnet and the purple poisonous stones.
PureNightfall (1 year ago)
The blue probably stands out for the camera to pick up.
R. Oyler (1 year ago)
Jonas Stæhr it actually is significant, as the poison "the strangler" is well known to be purple....this is noted in the books, which helps the reader determine how Joffrey was killed without it even being explicitly stated. its the Purple Wedding, because of both the poison's color and choking the victim purple.
Jonas Stæhr (1 year ago)
Thats the most insignificant gripe i have ever heard.
EvanSol919 (1 year ago)
+Kirsten Houten You know what I mean.
Barqu3ntine (3 years ago)
