Hi Sharrah! Love your channel and all your ideas for organizing and decorating small spaces. I just recently moved to an apartment from a house. Would you mind sharing how you attached the curtains that hang behind your bed next to the mirrors that are behind your nightstands? Are they hung from the wall or ceiling? What size rods did you use? I love the look and want to add some softness on the wall behind my bed as I’ve hung two white farmhouse style window type mirrors behind my nightstands. Thank you for any advise you might be able to share!
The I no wAy i am doing all that for guests . As it is they keep coming to my house for a week but no one invites us to their house. No one wants to “bother “ so I dropped jade time I didn’t even put shampoo people abuse so I don’t want to have people staying feeding them without retribution sooo nope. Not for me !!
Thanks for all the great advice! I love watching your channel. I couldn't help but notice Liane Moriarty's book on the table. She's coming in a few weeks for a book signing and I can't wait to see her.
I recently hosted friends for the weekend without a ready guest room. I had a couch and arm chair available and an aero bed. I did my best with stocking the bathroom and providing comfy blankets and other amenities. I think in general
It turned out ok!
I had a friend once leave my favorite little candies and a card on the table in her guest room when I stayed there to babysit her dog for a weekend. It was so sweet of her to have a few of my favorite things.
Wasn't sure if you were or have done any storage solutions for small spaces. But we live in a house with no extra storage space: no basement, no attic, no shed and no garage. We use a small room off the kitchen for our garage supplies and some kitchen supplies. We have another room that we would like to put a twin bed in but it's currently filled with my hubby's stuff in totes and my holiday totes for different seasons. It's a small room. Probably 7' x 11'. How would you arrange things to make it look nice? Should we be "tacky" and use the totes as a bedframe with a bed skirt? Or ate there some tips and tricks that we're not thinking of?
My absolutely gorgeous, but ultra-clean-freak Aunt, left a pair of new house-socks on each person's bed (reflecting their character/style) as a cosy, but kind way to remind my kids that she didn't want shoes worn in the house when we had a week-long stay with her recently. And a bowl of fruit out on the counter that we new we could snack on at any time ... even 3am when our jet-lagged bodies thought it was dinner time.
where are the curtains in your bedroom from? I just went to Ikea and couldnt find true white curtains, just off-white, and since I know you love Ikea curtains, I wonder if those were from there and if so if you know the name, thanks for all your amazing videos, much love, Estefania from Orlando. xoxo
Great timing ! I just about to received guest over FOR THE FIRST TIME ! And your video couldn't be more appropriate !
the bedding is one of the things I care the most and I will those whites and neutrals with touch of colours with the pillows.
Great job ! thank you for sharing your expertise !
I always leave a basket of goodies for guests including a snack or two and water. I also LOVE fresh flowers, I just get those $5 bundles from the grocery store and they look beautiful and I even take 1 or 2 flowers and put them in their bathroom in a bud vase, I mean who doesn't love the smell and esthetic of flowers 🌺❤️ also a small fan I leave in the room since we live in Vegas and know it can get hot even with the air on!!
I just had a friend to visit from Texas to NJ. I just redid my spare bedroom with new furniture, full mirror, new towels washed, so many comfy pillows, blanket, duvet with light weight down comforter, black cloth hangers, toiletries in the top bedside table, internet password in a small frame, current magazines and gift basket with Swiss chocolates, cookies, chips, nuts and bottled water! Sharrah, you were reading my mind!
MissAnonima1 ☺️ As a hoarder, I have to heal my mind bc I struggle letting go of things! But I am getting better and lighting my load! I’ll get there...maybe not full on minimalist but the best I can ❤️
Two things to add to this list!!
-a folding rack to put suitcases on
-a cute sign with WiFi info and any other home passcodes or directions for technology stuff like a smart TV
I also leave spare sheets and towels accessible to them in case they may have an embarrassing mishap.
wash a towel is no a big deal compared with all the waste that you are producing. you are not very Eco-friendly. I'll like the video if you take care of our planet a little bit more. and stop selling so much! is starting to be annoying and I'm kind of losing the interest in your videos... sorry. I love you anyways XD I hope this comment doesn't hurt your feelings. I'm being honest :)
Gisi you realize sponsor videos help pay her bills right. I am totally for the minimal movement and being aware of our footprint. But make sure you just worry about what you are doing and not others. You also have that option of not watching the video. Remember you have options. Option to buy and option to not.
Mildly disappointed with the weird "towel tip" that was also an Olay advertisement. I get why the adds are in here, you've gotta make money. But I don't understand why you wouldn't make the "towel tip" actually about towels. As a guest who once got my period on a white towel (super embarrassing), I can say with certainty just buy dark towels for guests.
Amelia well, then make your own vid so you can get sponsored and paid. Trolling because of the way someone inserted a sponsored vid not to your liking must be the tip of the iceberg of how you live your life. Hate to really see what you're like if they messed up on your pay... Would be a mildly disappointing sight I suppose
Darling, you're offering style advice. A bit of tough love from me, then. Nice hair and pleasantly made up face don't go with bare legs spread apart - it is just not appropriate, love, for anyone (American or otherwise). Sorry for being blunt.
+honeytranful A break from what? I'm sure she didn't mean to be indecent or provocative in any way. Still, exposing your crotch to your audience is simply not classy or stylish. I find that the pose is a bad choice, that doesn't suit her or her channel.
i love your channel and really enjoyed this video !! however i am really baffled when i hear that something is amazing because it's disposable. seems we should be heading towards reusable and environmentally friendly. there is nothing amazing about more trash in our oceans and landfill :-( i mean i get it this is a sponsorship but there are some amazing reusable alternatives. the makeup eraser for one and coconut oil are amazing at removing makeup.
I also HIGHLY recommend putting your Wi-Fi information in a frame on the nightstand. All of our guests have loved that feature in our home. You can find tons of cute printables on Etsy for $3-$5, and all you have to do is provide/enter your Wi-Fi information. Stick it in a cute frame from Dollar Tree and your guest room instantly feels like a hotel.
+Anna Noronha I very seldom have overnight guests, but yes, I would. Some people (like military families) have a lot more, though, and they may not know some of them as well. Apparently you can create a "guest" wifi, but not sure how to do that. Good solution though.
