Best Hotdog New York: Nathan's Famous Coney Island Brooklyn. Nathan's Famous is an American chain of fast food restaurants specializing in hot dogs which humbly started as a hot dog stand in 1916 by Nathan Handwerker and his wife Ida who immigrated from Poland and started the business with their life savings of $300. Their success was attributed to selling 5 cent all beef hotdogs made with a secret blend of spices from Ida’s grandmother. Today we are visiting the original Nathan's restaurant which stands at the corner of Surf and Stillwell Avenues in the Coney Island neighborhood of Brooklyn in New York City.
The Handwerker family sold all their 20 branches to Equicorp in 1986 for $19 million. Currently Nathan’s has a market capitalization of $260 million there are more than 1500 stores in 18 countries across the globe. Our favorites at Nathan’s include their Bacon Cheese Dog, Bacon Chili Dog and Shrimp and Fries. For refreshments try their Orangeade, Lemonade or a pint of their Coney Island Lager.

If iconic places like Papaya king and Nathan's in NYC in Chicago we have Portillo's,Super Dawg,Weiner Circle and Gene and Jude's but for gourmet the Duck Inn,Chicago's Dog house and Chef Bill Kim's Belly Shack. The suggestion i gave is the one i've tried already because they are lots of them. But the best of them all closed already Hot Doug's.If you want to check restaurants here in Chicago we have 2 TV programs that you can watch here in the internet.Check Please and Chicago's Best,i think Chicago's best have their own youtube channel. For Chicago for Quick eats it's HOTDOG,MAXWELL STREET POLISH DOGS,CORNED BEEF SANDWICH,ITALIAN BEEF and PIZZA and we have also good Burgers that can compete with other States and by the way FYI don't order Ketchup for your hotdogs here in Chicago some will doit for you but most of them they said it's an abomination LOL.
