Right before hopping onto this trend, yes, I was skeptical, but I also had some ridiculous levels of bloating and clogging, so I figured, I may as well give it a try.
At first, I was aiming to do the cleanse for 5 days, and if I didn't mind the taste of the #juice, I'd push it to 7. BUT I loved the effects so much that I went onto 10 days, even wanting to do it for longer!
I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much to happen in 10 days. I mean, who drinks vegetable-anything for 10 days, doesn't change a thing about their diet or lifestyle and expect a noticeable change in their body? Not me, that's for sure. But I was pleasantly surprised. VERY PLEASANTLY surprised.
Midway through, my bloating had gone. In this video, I explain in detail what actually happened to my bowel movements. #sorrynotsorry - it's a bit graphic. In addition to unclogging myself, I was able to sleep soundly consistently - something which rarely happens to me!
Here's a summary of my experience:
• I drank 500 mls of celery juice daily for 10 days.
• I drank the juice on an empty stomach.
• I juiced the celery fresh daily (I did not pre-prepare any juice in advance).
• I had uncomfortable bloating and clogging before the juice cleanse
• I did not change anything about my diet for the duration of this experiment (i.e. I ate exactly what I would normally eat on any given day).
• I believe that I did make a conscious effort to go to bed earlier than usual (i.e. I normally go to bed at 10:15pm and fall asleep any time between 11:30-1am). The difference that I experienced was that I was able to fall asleep faster (i.e. I would go to bed at 9:15 - 9:30 and fall asleep almost immediately or about 20-30 minutes after)
• Leading up to my period, I was less irritable.
• My period pains lasted shorter than usual and were less painful. i.e. Normally, I get mild to severe period pains for a day. In this case, I normally have to take pain relief tablets like Neurofen to relieve the pain. In this instance, the pain was low-to-mild. The pain lasted 2-3 hours (in comparison to 4-6 hours) in total.
• About the Taste: I didn't mind it at all! I prefer the #celery juice served cold (i.e. celery to be chilled before juicing it).
• Cost of celery at the time of this experiment (February 2019 - Queensland Australia) $6.99 - $7.99 a bunch.

Irene Poly I didn’t cut back on caffeine actually! In saying that, about 1.5 months later, I went on a coffee detox and felt the strongest cravings on day 4 - 6, but after that, the cravings subsided, and now, I probably drink coffee only once a week if I feel like it 😊
I have Lupus which has improved tremendously after I began drinking lots of distilled water, smoothies, juicing & eating a veggie diet and because toxins are one of the leading causes of auto-immune illnesses; I try to buy organic and avoid pre-packaged, chemical-packed cleansers, lotions, house cleaners, etc. I finally got rid of my TWO DECADE LONG low, grade fever! I still have flare-ups occasionally but I can usually pin-point the trigger which can be stress related, eating poorly or toxins that I couldn't avoid. I really wish we paid more attention to our food quality, fluid intake and the importance of a DAILY bowel movement which removes toxins from our body. BTW: I no longer crave sweets but I do enjoy salt more so I assume that sodium is being flushed out of my body more quickly. I switched to natural Himalayan & Celtic Sea Salt and enjoy as much as I want without any health issues.

I'm glad I happened to come upon this video. My digestion has been feeling sluggish for a couple of months, my toilet visits have been unsatisfactory, for lack of a better description. I've actually been wondering if I have polyps or something. I will give this celery juice cleanse a try. It can't hurt.
I have cranked the juice before. It has kept me regular. I just drink it in an 8oz gkass each morning. Debloats me and I actually lose weight. I also like to do this after a vacation or a weekend of eating the wrong stuff. It works..

I suffer ** extreme social anxiety.**
I have been taking prescription anxiety medication for almost 4 years now and whilst it helps ,I'm in a catch 22 situation as the medication causes me to be severely blocked up.
To the point people think I'm pregnant.
I'm relatively small body wise,however due to stomach bloating I have to wear between size 14-16 .
So nothing really fits well or looks nice, and so my confidence is suffering and causing my anxiety to be far worse.
Hence why I state catch 22 situation.
I've even been in hospital over 20 times as I get so bloated that I literally get contractions just as if I were pregnant.
I have even been given a medication namely- **PICOLAX.**
It's very rarely given out as is used for emptying bowels prior to having surgery.
This has not worked either.
MY contractions are so bad when i have them that I was sobbing and screaming and the doctor's at the hospital went to offer me Morphine.
I would not take the morphine as it could make me worse due to clashing with my anxiety medication.
My anxiety medications are namely- Quatiapine and Diazapam.
Quatiapine is an anti Psychotic although I'm not psychotic (I was informed four years ago that Quatiapine can help with anxiety and if does not mean I'm psychotic. )
I just felt I had to explain that part.
I take 50mg Quatiapine in the morning or when I awake,alongside 10mg of Diazepam, and 100mg Quatiapine at night alongside 10 mg Diazepam.
It's really getting me down that I cannot get my stomach sorted and doctors cannot do anything.
I cannot come off the anxiety medication as of yet as I ** literally and honestly ** could not leave the house.
I barely leave even when on anxiety medication anyhow.
I only leave my home to get my shopping and that's an ordeal for me.
Even customer services there are aware I suffer social anxiety and know I have to leave my trolley with them inbetween shopping and have a break.
I just could really do with knowing if my situation of severe bloating is similar or the same as someone else on here and if they have tried this celery juice!?!?
Or if they have any other good ideas/ tips/advice for me.
Suggesting I come off my anxiety medication simply won't be answered as it's not an option to myself as of yet.
I don't mean any I'll intent or to be rude I'm just stating what is not possible/sensible right now .

Lastly, i have wondered if growing the celery stalk in water yields the same nutritional benefits as when grown in soil (assuming market-bought celery isn’t grown in water as well 😂). Goog digestive and being healthy is not about your few Pimples! Get over it & perhaps educate yourself about your organs and how they work - their functions , digestion absorption and elimination !! That will be good start and beneficial to you :)
Celery juice has a lot of potassium. Potassium is needed for calcium absorption and utilization. Calcium is needed for balancing magnesium level. As we already know Mg is crucial for regular bowel movement. The more bowel movements, the less anxiety, because you are not clogged up with toxins and you excrete copper on a regular basis. When you don't have a regular bowel movement, copper gets reabsorbed and it will cause anxiety. Yes, copper is a excitory mineral and if imbalanced, it will cause havoc in your body and mind. You should have at least 3 bowel movements per day for optimum health. I know doctors tell you that one a day is enough, but it is not. I did one time a 2 day diet consisting of cooked rice with steamed apples cooked with cinnamon, cloves and cardamom. I was taking also a supplement of Mg/K, 300 mg of magnesium plus 120 potassium in a single dose. I had 6 bowel movements per day. I am usually constipated, sometimes not even having a bowel a day. Also I drank only peppermint tea or ginger tea. Once I had a meal like chicken breast, rice and veggies, the bowel movement stopped. I felt amazing while on this diet. Also I had such a peace in my head, no anxiety whatsoever. I think all the toxins were excreted. 3 bowel movements a day will help your anxiety tremendously.
