This is great In the uk women are obsessed with having an orange face thick eye brows and contouring to the max It is ridiculous! Less is more and I love the French approach to beauty and makeup 💄 Justine you are fantastic X
I'm in the Netherlands. Here women will gladly tell you their beauty secrets if you ask them, but at the same time pretend it's not big deal to them. There is a slight taboo on caring a lot about your appearance, so when the topic is addressed, we usually try to address it as briefly and nonchalantly as possible and then change the subject, lest someone might think we're too invested in our looks.
Using makeup is not 'clogging the pores'. I really like this video and agree - I live in France for many years. When it comes to makeup, it can be a barrier between your skin and the pollution. So it's actually recommended.
In my country (The Dominican Republic) women go to the salon at least once a week to get their hair done. It's like a religion 😁Also, manicures and pedicures every couple of weeks. We use a lot of home remedies for hair and skin (honey, molasses, coconut oil and milk, oats, etc.). A lot of body wraps to slim down too. People don't have too much money, so we get creative and use what we have on hand, and it works 😊
I love the fact that aging is accepted and surgery and fillers are not used. It’s so important to just let yourself age and to use good skincare and have a healthy lifestyle. Fillers and surgery actually end up aging you more anyway because that look is typically only seen on much older women, and it takes the youthful beauty away.
I would kindly advise some jojoba oil on your hair from eyebrow level down. Not a criticism just a critique. You look like you have good strong hair it just needs some moisture. And you can use the same jojoba oil on your face. It’s non m-comedogenic, similar to your skin’s natural oils, even good for sensitive and acne prone skin. Great advice about the sunscreen ☀️ 👍
Hi my style , Estée Lauder makeup and skin care , precisely cut bob , always coloured no roots, ! Well groomed , stable weight I am a UK size 10.i have never ever or would have any cosmetic procedures, I alway wear makeup and perfume , my skin care has always come first most important!
I think people have become way too accustomed to getting stuff for free.
People nonchalantly and shamelessly ask what your beauty secrets are without considering the fact that maybe it took you years or even decades to come up with your beauty secrets, and people simply ask for those secrets like you owe them anything. And when you don’t share anything, you’re the most selfish person on earth.
Well, guess what, if you want any secret...
PAY FOR IT, CHEAPSKATE.
Huh, turns out I've been doing things more or less the French way this whole time! 🙂
I do wonder how one gets by without brushing their hair every day though. Mine gets so tangled if I do that. My hair is in a bit rough shape in general though...
I'm 55 and my daughter 25.
Washing your hands, not touching your face! One of the first rules ( among many ) I learned my daughter. Maybe I'm overwhelmed. At school she was offended because of that, but she was holding it.
No amount of even the most expensive products is gonna help your skin if you eat junk food. I've been vegetarian (mostly vegan) for more than half of my life, using only olive oil soap (which I make myself) and home made creams, not using any make up, foundations nor anything at all and I keep hearing that I have a beautiful skin. Reduce/eliminate chemicals (from your skincare and diet) and you will give your skin the best look ever.
Most of this is just good common sense - Keep It Simple and Natural. But - being secretive about the products you use? Seems like a throwback to the Bad Old Days when women were supposed to be in competition with other women - and their lives revolved aeound being wives or mistresses, decorative and/or supportive for men. I have nothing against men. But really - so what if your friend or colleague admires your skin and wants to try the oil you use?
Hi Justine, I appreciate your style and approach to life and beauty. You quickly became my second most favorite French celebrity, right after Zaz :) As for beauty secrets, I just realize, that here in Slovakia women traditionally use a lot of nettle extract (nettle is the weed that burns your skin when you touch it right?) We use the "tea" from it for hair (it shines and grows better), for cleaning face, and drinking this "tea" helps to clean organism and skin as well. So this is one Slovak tip. Thanks a lot for all the videos.
I absolutely agree on everything. It's too bad I didn't use sun protection earlier..but back in the days it wasn't in fashion. I also don't use foundation I don't understand why young girls use it for their perfect skin. And when we are older foundation make everything worst. Thank you for your tips!!
I love u so much and alll those tips are great , but u should NEVER ever use any antibacterial gel or soap because this is gonna make bacteria develop resistance towards this soap . And more over A RESISTANCE towards ANTIBIOTICS .. which is known as cross resistance . Antiseptics and disinfectant should only be used in hospitals and clinics

+Justine Leconte officiel Again, a myth in all but a very few number of sick patients. Overhydration leading to hyponatremia (which can cause seizures among other effects) is a growing problem, particularly among athletes. This myth of "drink until your pee is clear" "when you're thirsty, you're already dehydrated" is dangerous. Thirst is triggered by very small changes in plasma osmolality, occurs well before real volume depletion/hypernatremia occurs. Drink when you are thirsty. Your body is smarter than the internet 😉
I like Chloe too. It’s girlie and unserious. I keep going back to Obsession. When I have a target
to hit, I wear L’Interdit. I spray overhead and walk in. But since watching you I’m going to do the wrists and knee method.
I am so endlessly happy, and thankful, that you actually stress that cosmetic surgery is a no-no. To refuse cosmetic surgery is a classy act indeed, and it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that it is the classiest French women, like yourself, who speak out against it. You seem to never compromise your confidence and self respect while giving fashion and beauty advice, and this is an art that few youtubers/bloggers can master. Your videos are informative, you are charming and you seem so genuine, and you have helped me with my style more than anyone else.
I'm from Vietnam but why do I have more similar beauty habits from French than Asian? no drying hair, no foundation, red lipstick and eyebrows, nature oils, no touching face, a lot of water, very simple skincare routine.
A good trick for keep your skin moisture, witch hazel, vitamin E, Peach oil, Biotine, Dimethycone, coconut oil, one aspirin, mix all in spray bottle, put in your face before your moisturizer (cream) and your make up. 👍🏻 And I’m giving you all my tricks!.
I love this,Thank you for the great tips and encouraging,I'm only 23 but using face masks etc has become such a chore to me because I was brought up around people who said that its vain to take care of yourself,to want to be beautiful and not let go of yourself is being selfish, well, tomorrow I'm going to go and spoil myself for once! Thank you xxx
You are beautiful your hair is beautiful I will not brush my hair everyday like you said I love the French women anyway and the French way of life but never been to France not yet I had a boyfriend for about 6 years and I've always wanted to go to Paris on valentines if I when I get a boyfriend
Bonjour Justine! Good job!🤓🇨🇦
Love your videos Justine. You are a great presenter and you give good advice, much of which I would follow. The only thing I disagree with is your insistence of drinking lots of water and quantifying how much is the minimum we should drink. My view is this: the amount we need differs, depending on our bodily needs and not just our activities - some of which you named, e.g., exercising. The body naturally tells us how much water we need and thirst triggers that need. Once we stop being thirsty we don't need more. Furthermore, you said that you at a lot of fruit and vegetables in another of your videos. Those food groups will also contain a lot of water. If you drink lots of glasses of water on top you might be flushing out a lot of the vitamin and mineral content, negating much of the benefits. I let my body decide how much water I need. If your urine is very pale and near colourless then you are probably drinking too much water (too dark too little).
Thank you Justine. Very nice tips. Except the water thing is a myth. People are not chronically dehydrated and should drink when they feel thirsty..really. Look up some new info and reliable sources on this. There is no need to drink 2 extra litres of water per day if you don't feel thirsty. If you do and are in a warm country or smth and sweat alot bc of sports ofc do it..but otherwise its not necessary
Here in Sweden it's very important to stay active. Not thin or fit even to be honest but I'd say most people take great pride in going out running multiple times a week, swimming, climbing and going out on alot of walks. Staying active is important as it's also a very social thing to do, but mostly it is to take care of your body since it's meant to last for a long time :)
