Love your page man
Killin it and helping us kill it with you
Just got into this but my list for the winter so far:
-Jean Paul Gaultier Ultra Male
-Replica Music Festival
-Replica Jazz Club
-Azzaro Wanted by Night
Swiss Army Knife (Everyday) Frags for Work / Traveling: Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man, Montblanc Legend Intense
Nostalgia Frags: Azzaro Chrome
All-Season Casual / Sporty / Post-Shower Frags: Ed Hardy's Love & Luck, Lacoste 12. 12. White
Sensual Frags (Night Out): Givenchy Play Intense, Zara Intense Dark Exclusive
Spring & Summer Casuals (and Dress, based on the situation): Coach for Men, Ferrari Bright Neroli, Montblanc Starwalker, Zara 9.0
Fall Casuals: Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Eau Fraiche
Fall / Winter Dress Frags: Christiano Ronaldo Legacy Private Edition, John Varvatos Dark Rebel, Mauboussin Pour Lui in Black, Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo, Zara Rich Warm Addictive
Of course this took a lot of time to get into, mainly by getting a lot of decants and blind buying a few of these. A lot of these go by my mood. I advocate that an effective way to start a collection is to go to local perfume stores (or buy decants) and try all that you can. Get a budget for what you want to spend per fragrance. Get to know what notes work best on your skin and during certain times of the year. Try fragrances in your range and even those out of your budget to see what you could get in the future if the mood strikes. And research, research, research. ;)
Smellovision Fragrance Wardrobe out of Miami here as of 9/4/18:
Full size presentations in my Collection are as follows:
1. Dehn El Ood Mubarak from Swiss Arabian
2. Oud Touch from Franck Olivier
3. Mukhallat Asala Marakaz from Arabian Oud
4. Grey Flannel from Geoffrey Beene
5. Eau D'Hermes from Hermes
6. Unpredictable Noir from Glenn Perri
7. Noble Leather from YSL
All others mentioned are from sample decants or full bottles that I tested on skin at the counter (Saks, Macy's, Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus).
Dude, please stop, before it's to late for you and your family, Get some help while you still can , join FA! Fragrance Anonymous! It's a 5 step program but you only need the first step. Here is what you do! You ready? Are you really really ready? You take all your fragrances and you empty them all out into the bathtub, That's right, all of them, every single one. Than you get inside the tub and you soak for three hours. No more, no less, three hours. Voila, now you are cured! You will never need to purchase another fragrance the rest of your natural life. You can thank me later!
If you must start with just one fragrance, make it all seasons, all occasions. BBB gives a AAA+ example with Dior Sauvage. I find Terre D’Hermes and more recently Acqua Di Gio Profumo make the best Swiss Army knives.
Whatever you choose, be sure to choose it for yourself as much as anybody else. You’re the one wearing it, so be sure you love it.
Don’t listen to people who knock your favorite fragrance down just because they think it’s generic. It’s good to smell a little bit familiar, especially when you’re starting out. Run with what’s tried, true and tested until you find what works for you and you can rock it with total confidence.
I pretty much organize mine the same way
- gentlemen's fragrance (royal oud or git)
- office fragrance (olmsted & vaux or prada l'homme)
- casual fragrance (BleuDeChanel, Edition Blanche)
- date fragrance (D&Gtheone, Sorriso)
- personal favorites (Aventus, Ultra Zest)
i keep my collection at 30,
kinda have 5 for each category
with 5 extra personal favs that fall into each.
that way i always feel like i have a balanced collection with a fragrance perfect for each occasion.
"Fuck The Box" What fuck the box means to me :
We all know presentation is everything. When it comes to mens fragrances, We men are only concerned with the smell, especially when making blind buys. It's all about the juice. Now hit the God damn bell!
Bleu de Chanel EDT
DG The One EDP
Versace Eros (I’ll probably sell this one or trade)
Mostly summer/spring fragrances but I just don’t like the colognes that are more for winter. I had Ch men prive (blind buy) but I just couldn’t like it. Traded it for a brand new Nautica Voyage plus $20 bucks. I paid like $48 for ch prive so it was a good trade
It’s definitely sweet so it’s got that covered. Vanilla/mint but its manly, not some unisex crap. I like it, it’s a good fragrance but I just don’t use it too much. You can get a 100ml for around $45, so pretty cheap.
I, as new to the fragrance community, appreciate when reviewers take the time to lend your experiences with people like me. I am still working on scent profiles that I want to have (there are so many). I am pretty adventurous on work fragrances (and fragrances in general). Thanks again B.
My 5 different scents for different occasions:
1. Creed Silver Mountain Water
2. Creed Aventus - Special Occasions
3. Prada L'Homme - Work scent
4. Creed Royal Oud - Night Out
5. Apple Brandy by Kilian - Holidays
BBB I have a quick question... What kind of work or what occupation are you part of? I want to start a YouTube channel but it's hard to find the work/school/home/YouTube balance. Any insight will be greatly appreciated.
Great suggestions! A fragrance wardrobe is essential for the modern gentleman. I use similar breakdowns but the seasons change the line up you already kno.
For Fall/Winter :
Business scent - Terre D'Hermes edp Casual Day scent - Dytique Volutes
Boss Upscale Event- Creed Royal Oud Just left the gym- Bleu De Chanel Edp Date Night- Dior Homme Parfum
Day Date- Mugler Pure Malt/Havane
Dior sauvage = casual T-shirt smell, aqua di Gio Profumo = my signature all around scent , sun Java by frank olivier or Burberry touch = gym and bedroom air fresheners and sometime errand frangrance,
Black phantom = cold weather favorite
Armaf craze = my cool weather holiday scent
Creed GIT = work and all around fav
CDNI or aventus summer faves
Bruh, great video! Will be picking up that Mugler Cologne for the gym. Need your advice, I’m in the military and wear a camouflage uniform almost every day. What’s a good frag to go with that. I wear Tiere de Hermes Parfume for the fresh but earthy and woody vibe it gives. Greatly appreciate your help on this.
Yeah man you're OK for the gym that's really the only place I wear it or in the house just lounging around after a shower. Remember that shit is EDC concentration. I've gone through two and a half 10 oz bottles in the last two years. You literally have to bath in the shit. If you ever have coin to spare just get Original Vetiver instead of Mugler Cologne. Original Vetiver smells better performs better and to me is one of the best fragrances ever made.
You better buy the 10 oz because that shit is weak as shit and you will blow through that 3.4 oz ASAP. Don't get me wrong Mugler Cologne smells great it's just anemic in its performance and projection.
I have a wide variety of fragrances for a lot of different occasions: Seasonal, night/day, work, and casual (depending on what colors I'm wearing). The only thing I don't know is what to wear when casually wearing a sports jersey. Any suggestions?
ayeee. Shouldn't you be getting ready for a game against the Grizzlies on Saturday lmao. If you didn't know Anthony Davis is a basketball player for the New Orleans Hornets and they play on saturday lol. You happen to have the same name as him haha.
Right now I've been enjoying MontBlanc Individuel a lot (it is my signature scent rn), for nights out I prefer Salvatore Ferragamo F Black, I use Club De Nuit Intense Men for college along with Individuel. I have the cheaper version of Mugler Cologne in Lucky for you by Lucky Brand. For special occasion, I have a decant of Pegasus and I have decants of Aqua Di Gio Purfumo, 18.21 Sweet tobacco and Layton as well.
Keep up the good work BTW.
By the way, your channel made me start exploring fragrances. I still remember one of your fragrance edition on the youtube "TIZIANA TERENZI Orion." Tried it out and I can confirm that its an amazing juice. Enjoying my full bottle all the time. Keep it up BBB!!!! Why did I say keep it up? Because your channel is an inspiration to me!!!!
