what is the diffrence between Data Redaction and data masking ?
I would Rather Not Say (2 years ago)
Data Redaction does not alter actual data in internal database buffers, caches, or storage, and it preserves the original data type and formatting when transformed data is returned to the application. Data Masking on the other hands, does alter actual data in the database.
