As a creativity consultant and international speaker,. Courtney Ferrell can be found standing at the busy intersection of ideas, energy, and people. Her latest idea, Girl Up, empowers young women to take full advantage of their gifts, their independence, and their possibilities in order to create an extraordinary life for themselves. In the past decade, she has worked intimately with thousands of young women as a speaker, teacher, coach, dorm mother, and mentor. Her mission is to provide girls with actions and language that will help them put common (and uncommon) sense into practice and become a sought-after person without compromising who they are.

Something about her just (profoundly) changed my life. I KNEW all of these things.. I just did not have the courage to accept it. I have been (dwelling) in a toxic relation that has been "over" for a long time. I now know that I need to not only say to hi, - It's over", but I am saying it to MYSELF... I deserve it.. SO MANY THANKS, Girl Up!
I am so beautiful and smart and valuable. I am powerful. I can do anything I set my mind to. My value is not based on my looks. Nobody can tell me what I am worth. I am a force of nature. No one can stop me or tell me otherwise.
I think a squirrel stole my acorn... does anyone else just feel empty? I was doing good whilst listening to this and now 10 minutes later I’m on my default empty... I’m over the hill for help now in every respect.
Is it just me?
This is one of my favourite Ted - talks. Courtney manages to unite people, she is not only explaining and lecturing, but instantly turning it into action and shows how easy small efforts create big, big was. Good work. Soo good. And thank you ! Greets to Tess and Courts children and husband :)
Beautiful points hit in one discussion:
- Emotional being tied with the physical
- Love in three ways
- Mentoring and cultivating the youth, society’s “untapped resource”
- Being authentically yourself
Girls need Girls. when the adults shame the girls who are themselves in turmoil. no clue.
Instead of devaluing. learn self worth and radiate that wisdom. even if you scar them, they can heal and grow and blow up like seeds into trees. but if your nourish them, this community will grow. and be filled wih women and men who understand self worth.
